Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

BTN: 73,012 (18.3 bb)
SB: 122,584 (30.6 bb)
Hero (BB): 35,584 (8.9 bb)
CO: 38,820 (9.7 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q A
CO folds, BTN raises to 72,612 and is all-in, SB folds, Hero calls 31,184 and is all-in

Flop: (73,968) 8 3 2 (2 players, 2 are all-in)
Turn: (73,968) 9 (2 players, 2 are all-in)
River: (73,968) J (2 players, 2 are all-in)

Reads: BU 15/15 over 20 hands
SB Fish 20/9 over 60 hands he just knocked out the 5th guy last hand buy 3x-ing Q9o and calling a resteal for 10 bbs.

I'd expecting the BU to bait with the nuts so I'm thinking this is a easy call, however considering the fish at the table he might minopen to play some pots and just fold weak hands when I re-steal, and just push middle pairs and top aces so he doesn't get call by the fish who won't fold if he hits top pair / draws, where I don't have that much of an edge.
What's the best play here in this situation, if it's the second case I don't expect to be ahead that often and I can just steal the BB and/or push the fish if he makes those kind of horriblol calls.

Its a call, BTN should be wide here. I think I'm calling A9s+, ATo+, 88+, maybe too tight. It depends on table dynamics

These don't seem to add up

Everything you said about what you can do to the fish at the table doesn't really apply when you like 8bb or something. Your skills are limited to push/fold, you have ZERO equity on anything else. Don't overthink the spot, just call and double up most of the time.

That range is too tight. We only have 9 BBs and are looking to gamble as there are small ICM considerations here (we really care about making the top 2 here so the diff between 3rd and 4th should matter too much). I'm calling wider, KQ, KJs+, A7s+, A9o+, 44+ (probably all pairs) and possibly QJs (kinda close).

With AQo, OP should SNAP CALL!

the range is too tight but it's a mistake to only consider icm a tiny bit just because top 2 pays a lot more than 3rd and 4th. the differences all matter a lot relatively speaking. by folding we have equity in the sense that we have an expect % of 1st/2nd/3rd/4th in the long run, when we call and win these %s change, when we call and lose we get 4th
