hero??

I need 43%
Vs 31% shoving range (which I think is on tighter side) I have 56%. He might be little looser or little tighter. Doesnt matter. I wonder if it is better to call or just fold and play with my big stack. It is also pre ante. Or differently - What edge do I need to make this hand a nobrainer call? Or may be it already is?

I fold. no way he shoves 31%

I call, Pretty sure he shoves wider than 31% (at least I do). Because u already have money invested and ur not crippled or w/e i'd call this of.

Two questions:
  • Do you really think he's shoving 31%?
  • If so, why?

Call, shove, click it back, w/e. Just don't fold.

Shoving 31% as Villain pre ante is pretty bad.

he has 6.5BB, its prolly a close call, if he had 9 its a fold.

I can't buy one right now. I was just wondering whether or not somebody could have given me a detailed answer.

After reading back the thread, these 2 answers are prolly the best.

SNG Wizard offers a free trial period. If you've already used that, http://www.holdemresources.net/hr/sn...alculator.html is a pretty good starting point for shoving ranges. Make sure the structure is set to "1" for all situations not on a bubble/FT. They do have an ICM calculator beta you could play around with for FT situations. The thing that sucks about the Nash calculator is you have to manually input each hand every time. Also, the shoving ranges assume people are calling with the perfect overcall ranges that it lists below. However, this is not the case because people (randoms, bad regs, good regs that autopilot) do not call properly (therefore, we can widen out the Nash ranges sometimes). Wiz allows you to play with various calling ranges of Villains.

Follow that link above, input the hand from the OP. First without an ante, then with. Let me know what you find.
