hey

i have question about analising hands in sng wizard i dont understand few things (edgeC, diffC)

this is hand example (im not the hero btw)

default edgeC without changing anything

edgeC set to 100

edgeC set to 50

edgeC set to 0

so when i set edgeC to 0 it's showing for me breakeven range ?

what mean diffC? when its more then 100 shove is profitable and less then 100 its not? can somebody explain me these thing thanks

difffC:

Yeah edge of 0 is basically assuming all players in the hand have an equal skill edge. The Diffc value is the difference between how many chips you would have on average when you fold vs how many chips you would have if you pushed/called with the ranges you have set. Any positive number here means that pushing or calling is +EV, with that number representing the expected value of the hand if run an infinite number of times.

Or something like that

I always leave the edge at 0...it's up to you to decide if risking 38k chips on the final table bubble to win 115 is optimal. This hh from your buddy is a bit stupid because he shouldn't be shoving 30bbs effective like ever.

Just leave it at 0 and ask yourself if it's a big enough edge considering stack sizes, stage of the tournament/ICM, your skill level, their skill level etc

Totally this. This particular hand is not a good candidate for Wiz imo. Just make it t2400 pre and take it from there.

even if shoving was +300 it would still be bad

but in regards to the hh I'm pretty sure I'd just fold since we have to r/c everybody but the big stack

but I guess opening is a decent play too depending on the players

honestly i think we can r/f to frio01 here fairly easily even if people think it is lolbad. He is almost never reshoving wide here and we're not getting 2-1 on a call, especially when we add the value of maintaining our stack to the fold. I think folding pre is fine but similarly I don't think r/c is totally mandatory if we choose to open for 2x.

agree that we don't have to call ferio but I have a hard time folding hands that look as pretty for 10bbs

pretty sure if skillhack has any icm knowledge he's not calling top 10% percent, think I'm folding 88 in his spot
