180/4usd - facing a "resteal" - thought process? 180/4usd - facing a "resteal" - thought process?

Hi all

How should my thought process be when deciding how to proceed.
(approx. 50-60 left in the tourney at the time).

    Poker Stars, $4.10 Buy-in (125/250 blinds, 25 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 8 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #12723062

    MP1: 12,765 (51.1 bb)
    MP2: 3,547 (14.2 bb)
    MP3: 7,084 (28.3 bb)
    CO: 5,028 (20.1 bb)
    Hero (BTN): 4,070 (16.3 bb)
    SB: 5,803 (23.2 bb)
    BB: 1,828 (7.3 bb)
    UTG+2: 3,957 (15.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 9 9
5 folds, Hero raises to 750, SB raises to 5,778 and is all-in, BB folds

    Thought process:

    1. Villains stats - 5/5/25 --> presumably tight
1.1 Stacksize -he has a decent stacksize
1.2 point in tourney - still a long way to be cashing
    2. villains "resteal"/reraise range --> maybe 10 % - is this to much given the stats and the point in time of the tourney and his relatively nice stacksize?
Doing a pokerstove giving villain a shoving range of around 10 % gives more or less a 50/50 coinflip - providing me with plenty of pot odds to call.
    3. Even though i get decent pot odds should i consider folding waiting for better opportunities given that i'm not left with a panic-sized stack if folding (my thought here is that it's still far away from cash point so i should not waste such a pot odds/edge against a range of 10%)

I'm very interested in checking if my thought process is along some proper lines....

Any comments, confirmations and/or corrections to my thought process are appreciated.

Your on the BTN. I would be putting that in pre too look like a steal and hope I get called light. When your raising 15BBs like that try to think a street ahead, i.e. your hand 'What am I going to do if villain jams?' And with antes 2.2/2.5xBB is more than enough to open up with.

As played insta call, as you said your flipping majority of time.

Nh, and high fiveing the cat PICS OR GTFO.

    open 2.5x/call jam
you may sometimes consider jamming 16BB here if you see SB resteal a lot and you have problems with calling 99 here. However, I think you lose value because you can play in position with a very good hand and you can call resteals from the blinds because you have pot odds to do it. Sometimes jamming here may look weak and Sb may call with wider range, but will mostly fold because he's nitty (is this 5/5/25 VPIP/PFR/3bet?)

you are not stealing, so he cant re-steal.
    nitpickmode off, get it in.
