The villan was a reg I think a little aggressive. Call 2BET from BB (11/35) - 31%. He was shoving a lot preflop. I had 23% POT ODDS to call on river, The pot was big and I folded. What was the best way to play this pot ? I bet again on turn because when 8 came I won some equity, I had a gutshot

You should have checked back the turn because controlling the size of the pot is desirable; he is never folding a better hand or a draw; and you might have the best hand. I would fold the river not because of the ace, but because of the spade, and I would have folded to a lead if I had checked back the turn.

If you really doubt your post flop play or don't want to get into awkward confrontations due to stack size, then open shoving is a viable way to play the hand also.

I disagree with you I prefer lose some cheaps playing post flop than shove 20 BB with TT without any action before me. Even if I don't know to play post flop very well, its good to improve the post flop game getting out of confort zone

Sounds like you're turning TT into a bluff on the turn when you say "picked up some equity with the gutshot".

What about checking back flop here?
