    Poker Stars, $1.36 Buy-in (75/150 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 7 Players
    Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

    MP1: 3,425 (22.8 bb)
    Hero (MP2): 2,775 (18.5 bb)
    MP3: 1,215 (8.1 bb)
    CO: 3,665 (24.4 bb)
    BTN: 795 (5.3 bb)
    SB: 1,610 (10.7 bb)
    BB: 1,290 (8.6 bb)

    Preflop: Hero is MP2 with Q A
    MP1 folds, Hero raises to 375, 4 folds, BB raises to 1,290 and is all-in, Hero?

    I am not sure if this should be a clear call?

    Only 8 hands with villain and this is the first pot he enters. I am showing strength by raising from UTG+1, so he is showing a lot more strength right?

    I get about 2:1 for the call and if I loose I still have about 10BB left.

    I put JJ+ and AQo+ into pokerstove and get these results;

    equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 33.065% 21.17% 11.89% 14139145 7941942.50 { AsQh }
    Hand 1: 66.935% 55.04% 11.89% 36756826 7941942.50 { JJ+, AQs+, AQo+ }

    So calling with 2:1 odds is about breakeven if I understand correctly. I went ahead and called, but I am not sure if I should be doing this every time

    Let me know if folding or calling is obvious and why please.

    Im calling mostly

    putting him on JJ+,AQ+ without a read is pretty ridiculous to say the least

    I can't see how you can do anything but snapcall this. 2:1 vs a reshove from a <10BB stack with AQ. Even if you really *are* up against that range (which is giving villain way too much credit), then the pot is offering you greater than 33%. What's the question again?

    1.50 45? Fist pump call.

    this is a very easy call based on stack sizes.

    Def call, no need to second guess

    stack sizes + buyin= fist pump call

    The buyin should be a reason to NOT call. You'd expect players to be shoving wider in the bigger games thus giving our AQ more equity.

    However, we're getting 2:1 (33% equity required) and we're probably 38% against a more reasonable shoving range so its definitely a call.

    He is reshoving extremly wider than you would expect, especially on these stakes.

    I'm calling here at this blind level considering his stack size all day long.
