Hi,

Villain in SB is 31/22 @ 128 hands.

Standard open, flop is kind of good to us both so cbet to rep an Kx and protect OESD. I picture he has in his range mainly broadways, Ax, suited connectors.

My main question is: shall I bet future streets when my draw does not come? I think I should just get cheap showdown and give up if he takes a lead? If straight comesjust bet river for 1/3 the pot?

Or if he is passive bet huge on the river (or even 3 barrel) to get rid of middle pairs, air and busted draws?

I agree, open is fine.

Flop bet is fine too, if anything just a tad bigger.

On the turn I would check back as the 7 is a blank. He's likely to continue his KX type hands. If you are going to bet (which is by no means bad) then go a little bigger.

To your main question: yes you can bet future streets when your draw does not come but I would do so on 'scare' cards. Given you are in position, I think the blank is an ideal check behind. If you want to get fruity, you can bluff blank rivers - bluffs can often be good against randoms when there are no more cards to come.

you can multibarrel vs regulars capable of folding, vs 31/22 @ 128 hands I dont barrel on brick turns because hes not folding Kx enough IMO

Thanks for the insights!

He shouldn't fold Kx on the turn.

Unless his fold to c-bet is absurdly high, he should have tons of other hands he called flop with. If he doesn't because he already folded them on the flop then don't barrel. If he does have them then bet with good value hands balanced with and legit semi-bluffs like your OESD.

I usually fold pre in this spot, but if id rise i would make the cbet on the flop and stop on the blank turn, basically cuz i'm getting called by every Kx since the turn 7 doesn't really make a difference.
