Why does lock lie about being 30% of the merge network - Two Plus Two

B/c they weren't? 40% was exaggeration but 25-30% seemed in the ballpark. Looks like a lot of the players did move back to Merge to another skin b/c of the troubles Lock has been having.

i mean there are lots of great reasons to be skeptical of Lock or even foreswear it altogether. but that they inflated their traffic numbers a little? people care about the weirdest things imo.

This thread is completely unnessasary. Lock was easily 30% of the network as of last week. Nonetheless this is a thread based on arguing over something that cannot be defined. More importantly it is just irrellavent at this point.

it seems to be around a 20% loss or somewhere around there but with all the negative posts and the big mess the revolution network is in i expect that number will drop to 10% loss by the end of this week

I used to grind lock, cake, and bovada at the same time (american FR player, so only way I could get enough tables going).

Now I grind carbon, cake, and bovada.

So I don't think they were lying. But even if someone played on lock, it never meant they were leaving merge.

I disagree with there being no change. NL 100 and 200 games have definitely been affected.

Have you not taken a peek at the tournament schedule? Particularly on the day Lock pulled out, overlay after overlay. SnG traffic has also seen a significant drop. I do not doubt that 30% figure at all.

There's WAY less NL100 and NL200 full ring games on merge.

Like 50% less. It's a HUGE noticeable difference.

There's also WAY more full ring traffic on cake. There used to be 3-5 NL100 full ring games going on a monday, now there's 5 NL200 and 7 NL100.

really i should have not even posted about the % it really does not matter to me this whole thing is stupid lock messed up and i dont care why but they messed up and dissapointed players and players are leaving to go wherever they want to its not about merge vs lock poker its about lock dropping the ball and players going to a new place where they feel comfortable playing i just do not feel comfortable depositing and playing at lock anymore after what happened to me and people should not blame the players who are mad for losing money

Trust me there was a significant increase in the network that Lock is on now than before. When they bought Cake the max was lucky to hit a thousand cash game players. Now at least a few hundred or more. Revolution is almost as big as Merge now. Now the sng traffic is still not there but eventually I think once the software update the two networks will be close.

You made the thread and the claim that they have x percentage, or lower than x percentage, u hate to give the proof. I don't think lock ever officially claim any percentage.

Who cares???!! this is more competition so it will make both sites strive for more, and for players we should just grind on both sites!! who cares which site is better? I really want Lock to succeed too, but recently i just realized what is the difference if they do succeed or not? I know there is more traffic now overall because more people are multi siting now.

It is up to you to you to show proof because YOU are the one making claims that Lock lied about their share of the Merge player base. Without showing what proof you have, it simply is the story about the boy who cried wolf. Time to either put up or shut up.
