I think Shane has at some point mentioned the Calvin Ayre piece and brushed it aside, as "some article from two years ago" which is now outdated because they aren't in Jennifer's Vancouver condo and now have offices, or something like that. What I haven't seen him mention in any regard (maybe I missed something?) are his thoughts about Lock's position in a newly regulated US marketplace which, without some sort of strategy, they will be shut out of either via enforcement or via natural migration of traffic to licensed competitors.

To be fair, this isn't just a Lock concern... the same goes for Merge and Bovada. But in the case of Bovada/Bodog, they have made it explicitly clear that they believe the true remaining growth markets are in the far east, as opposed to the US, and moved their headquarters there. So they at least are upfront with their business plan going forward in this regard. http://calvinayre.com/2012/12/28/bus...world-in-2013/

Meanwhile, Lock signs The Grinder.

Thanks for sharing those articles. I had never seen them before. That 3rd one, from 2010, accurately predicts the current situation of Lock. He called that flaw in their business model 3 years ago and correctly predicted what would happen. And that information about Larson and Geoffrey is disturbing to learn. At least the worst they had to say about Shane is that he assisted in screwing over some affiliates.

^bump because Lock is in the worst place it's ever been and i still feel the original questions are relavent. With the launch of Ultimate Poker and with a multi state compact a certainty and a federal bill coming up that has a better chance than ever I think Lock is nearing the end of the road regardless of the transfer issues. Plus, we never got an answer to anything asked the first time around.

Sorry if this is wrong thread but saw this yesterday;

Off shore online poker for US is nearing the endgame for sure. Sites like Bovada & Intertops that do/can pay don't need the risk of US market and can succeed elsewhere.

Be careful people, start getting prepared for the transition to US online poker. Don't get burned again.

Lock's Endgame? Ummm... take all the monies and throw a lavish castle orgy? Wait... they already did that. The end must be near then.

^^ Getting vitriolic 'round these parts...lol. I mean, when people are differentiating the types of fires they hope Lock dies in, you know things are getting tense.
