Well this is interesting...(by interesting, I mean ridiculous)

From the P2P thread in the internet forum:

For those unaware, Mr. "Hokie" is a Lock pro who is selling his $10k worth of Lock for $3,300 in real money. Via player-to-player transfer.

Not really trying to "start anything", but this is pretty low in my opinion. From a company that continues to set the standard for low, this is pretty low.

I've heard Lock pros are paid in skin funds. I've never seen them P2P trade it out, but I'm sure it's happened before. Alright...whatever. But .33 vig?

What a disgrace...I mean...what's next? Tomorrow, when I finally get some sleep, am I going to wake up to find Jen Larson trying to move skin funds under the 2+2 username "I'mNotJenLarson"?

Laugh...just laugh, to keep from crying. We got 52 people (about to be - report coming) on my list that havent been paid in 60 days and most more than that. And now we got a Lock pro trying to devalue their own funds even further?

I'm just...I can't even fathom what brains are being used over there.

Agreed. This is just sad. so sad. Makes Greg look bad too. He is representing a site that he doesn't even believe in.

I'm almost thinking this is a hack job...there's no way they'd let this guy sell on this forum at .33 vig. Is there?

I agree this does seem like a really odd post. I don't think he had posted since April..... I don't know though I wouldn't put anything past a lock pro. I always thought about 90% of them were complete dbags. (I actually thought HokieGreg was one of the good ones, but who knows anymore?)

Well there's ways to tell if that was the case - and I'm sure the mods can look into that. I just tweeted him direct, so...lol. Wonder if he'll respond.

I messaged lock about it this is what they said.

"Thank you for your email.

Please be advised that there is a delay with all cashouts but our cashier is working hard to get all withdrawals to players as soon as we possible can.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Kind Regards,

Michelle"

Ridiculous

After messaging her again she said this

"Thank you for your email.

Please note that it is not a customer service issue that has seen you not receive your cashout but rather a backlog on the processor handling your withdrawal. This is an issue we have been working on since it became apparent and I can assure you that players are receiving their cashouts daily. We do apologize for the processing time to date for all withdrawals but we are coming close to a conclusion now so apologies for any inconvenienced caused.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Kind Regards,

Michelle"

It's obvious she never even read my first email. I never said a word about my cashouts, Only about a Lock Poker Pro selling off his bankroll at 33 cent on the dollar.

After again explaining to her what I first emailed to her she replied with this bologna:

Thank you for your email.

I apologize if you have had this reply before, unfortunately, I'm afraid there is little I can add at this time. Please rest assured that we are working to send the funds to players as soon as it is possible, as we have never missed a single payment.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Kind Regards,

Michelle

"NEVER MISSED A SINGLE PAYMENT" she says.

Wow I believe that to be incorrect.......

WTF is that? When did this delay start? I mean, I know it's completely not what you asked her in any way, but where's anyone out in front coming out with this information?

Wow...wheels might be falling completely off this evening...

It seems unlikely to me that this was the result of hacking, but I guess we will just have to wait and see.

So sick. At what point does Lock Dollars become worthless? Could we see vigs south of .30?

If it wasn't hacking, Lock's not only going to have their own pissed off pending payout customers to deal with. Not only will Lock's P2P trade value (what's left of it) plummet even faster, more and more people are going to have a much harder time getting anyone to buy their funds, let alone get any actual money for them. Just sick...

EDIT: -DJM-, I'll go on the record as saying if this actually was the Lock pro posting that, you'll see sub .30 vig trades by the end of the weekend, if not before.

If that is the case and people can't sell their funds, how does it impact Lock? Does the music stop?

It never ceases to amaze me the nonsense I see when I come to this section of 2p2.

Carry on Lock, carry on.

Re: Well this is interesting...(by interesting, I mean ridiculous)

He, and everyone else, would probably already know about it by now if it was the result of hacking. He's also a well known, non-anonymous player on a site where funds are extremely devalued, so not exactly a prime target. Not that some people wouldn't try it anyway if they somehow got his 2+2 and Lock information, but its a lot more likely that its just him trying to get funds off the site.

.3 seems like a bargain to me at this point...

I'd rather have .3 of something than 100% of nothing

I think the .33/$1 is fair however it should be closer to 35c/$1. The only reason I say this is because its a large quantity.

Odd... Lock would take care of several people on CC just because a mod for them got aggressive. But for one of their very own sponsored players, a person they expect to represent them as a company, is left out cold? Lock never ceases to amaze me, its like they're actively trying to win an award for most WTFs ever targeted at a still operational poker company.

Business works by a different set of rules when you have leverage :P

Howard Lederer taught me that in a book once

I'd assume that this also has to do with WSOP and needing funds for events. Think there's an increased need for cash at the moment which also contributes to him selling so low.

I would sell my whole roll at .30 (3k) in a heartbeat. Can't say I really blame him.

Sure, but if someone actually had confidence that the site they had money on was solvent and that player funds were safe, they wouldn't just flush $6500+ down the toilet just to have an extra 3k for WSOP. Obviously he could just borrow at a much better rate than that.

Obv no one would care if he was just an ordinary player, but that's not the case. Assuming that he's actually the one that made the post, he's actively promoting the site and encouraging people to deposit and play in a place where obviously he doesn't think player funds are worth a whole lot.

I haven't really been keeping up with online poker news lately, but I just found out that the rest of the Revolution network has dropped Fair Play Technology, except for Lock who is fencing off players above 50NL. With only that information, I'll agree with you that we'll see trades below 0.30 vig really soon.

Seperate players from the network is not "Fair Play Technology". Cake seperates players/tables as well from the network, do they still have "Fair Play Technology"?
