I've been reading on the forums and I guess the going rate for a lock dollar is $1 = $0.50, is this true? If so, where and how I do purchase lock dollars for at this price? Is there a separate thread that I'm missing? How safe is would the trade be? I'm interested in exchanging real dollars for lock dollars at this exchange rate, if anyone out there is interested. Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated.

On a side note, would I be an idiot for doing this? I really do enjoy playing at lock. Thanks.

if ur not American and have money to do this, its a great idea, im assuming you are tho so don't ever even consider doing this.

I've been reading the WU cashout horror stories about LOCK but as an American where else can I play? Especially with a MAC? I've read all the forums but these cashouts, although ridiculously long, seem all to common for American players these days.

So should I avoid playing on LOCK all together? What about Bodog? I'm willing to switch but I'm afraid my options are somewhat limited - American & MAC

As far as playing goes, i would personally pick black chip poker from what American friends have told me. Your money is (possibly) safe on lock though, i would just keep as little as possible on at all times.

Thanks for the advice man. I'm really afraid of the poker climate in the States, I actually had money on Minted Poker.... now there gone too. Maybe I will try Black Chip Poker.

Just get an ipad w points and sell it instead of sell for that. The least amt the market should allow is like .5. No idea how is got so low...just don't. .I repeat do not request a check. WU take 6 to 8 weeks which I guess is not horrible.

I wonder who actually sets such rates?

It's obviously some players who decide to rather take a 50% loss on their cash than finding other means of getting the money off the site or they can't wait weeks to receive it which is understandable.

However, before I would sell my Lock$'s on 50c/1$ I would rather blow the money on the network cause it's a hilarious rate.

I will admit that it is tempting to buy a large amount of Lock and cash out. I mean, if they do pay eventually, its such a good move.
