Thank God for Poker Addicts! Thank God for Poker Addicts!

How in the world can this company continue to operate with such horrendous customer service?

The answer isn't that complicated in my opinion.

The fact is, that US players like me have very few options so they put up with the crap because they want to play online - simple as that.

Add to that the fact that a high percentage of online players are addicted to poker / gambling to various degrees and you have a scenario where Lock can manage to continue to operate despite their shameful record on so many fronts.

I joined Lock a few months ago on a whim, putting in a couple hundred bucks just to see what the site was like. I found the players were in general much weaker than other sites and was happy to be able to build my initial deposit into several thousand, but that was the easy part.

Took me over 2 months to get my money off!

I was convinced on several occasions that Lock was either going to outright steal my money or that the site would shut down before I would see it.

Fortunately I did finally get my money but that certainly hasn't changed my opinion of this bunch.

I can say with all sincerity that this is the worst run company, of any kind, I've ever run into period! I have had my share of bad service but nothing compares to what went on here trying to get my money off. I got bad food poisoning from a restaurant once and have better things to say about them than Lock.

If I were to offer any advice to those still playing on Lock, it would be this: Don't leave anymore money in your account than absolutely necessary so as to minimize your exposure to loss in the event of Lock going busto or being shut down by legal action.

Their policy of not allowing new deposits while you have one pending (which can be months) plays right into their hands. For example: lets say you have $2500 in your account. You decide to cashout $2200. You play and run bad for a while and your remaining $300 disappears. You still want to play, but you can't deposit because you have a cash out pending. So you have a choice. Wait a couple months for the cash out to process, or cancel it to access some cash and then start the wait all over again. Repeat this process if you're not good enough or lucky enough to consistently win and it assures that you are broke and Lock gets all your money before you ever successfully cash out.

I saw a player by the name of SharkieShark win over 11k in a few weeks playing MTT's and then lose over 9K right back again in the next 3 weeks with hardly an uptick on the way down. This is what Lock's policy promotes.

Good luck all. I just hope the the US policy makers finally clue in to reality and legalize online poker again for US players. PokerStars and soon to be revived Full-Tilt will be waiting. If that ever happens, Lock will shut faster than my girlfriend after 2 glasses of wine.

getting tired of these. we should be thankful that this company exists, and at least gives players in the US a chance. I played of Full Tilt for years, username horseplay, and i can tell u that their forum had a huge amount on negative posts as well. Well before BF, and all similar. You have no idea, years before BF how hard it was getting a check from them. Also if u did get your check, the chances of it bouncing. I had a few. You know what u r getting into when this is basically illegal to do, so stop complaining and accept the risks.

Dont leave a lot of money here, wow u r jus frekin brilliant.

jus sayin

You're on the money with the FTP thing. I still remember in October and November, the year before BF, me and my room mate both were trying to get checks from FTP. He had waited about 40 days and I had waited about 20 days before I decided to simply withdraw everything other than a few buy ins via Usemywallet (quicktender) and eat any fees for the sake of getting my funds. I know many others who experienced issues with FTP back then.

It's definitely going to happen for U.S. players with the current climate, and obviously was going on pre-BF as well. U.S. players can't bitch too much about the current payout durations, but ROW players have a legitimate gripe when they're waiting more than 2 weeks for Skrill/Neteller withdraws that typically take 1-2 days elsewhere. It could be that they have cash flow issues. However, it could be that their payment processors are handling all payments and showing no preferential treatment towards ROW players who's payout methods are by nature, much easier to process. Either way, that is the only place Lock is really making themselves look bad. (Other than the leaderboard being ROI-based).

Some gripe about the software issues, and it is a legitimate concern. But to keep this in perspective Cake software has never been that great, and there aren't exactly many options if you want to pursue poker as a full-time endeavor. From what I have read and heard, they're trying to improve the software.

Bottom line: If you're a U.S. player, suck it up and deal with the issues. Sell your funds at current market rates in the 2p2 xfer threads. If that isn't good enough for you, then find employment elsewhere and hopefully use that college degree that you still obtained despite thinking poker was going to be a forever thing that didn't require a safety net.

BTW, to the OP, afaik Cake Poker (the site) when I played there, had a similar no deposit option while you had a pending withdraw. There isn't a conspiracy theory going on there, its the same policy as before on the same network. I believe the no deposit while a withdraw processing issue is more to do with preventing fraudulent activity than anything else.

Seriously, I'm sick of all the negativity. Shut the **** up already. Everyday there is one of these bull**** threads started. Do you people have nothing better to do than complain on a forum every ****ing day?! Here is how to fix your problem: DON'T PLAY ON THE SITE IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT. Some of us are actually winning players and make a decent living playing on the Revolution Network. I get WU withdrawals within 2 weeks and everything goes smoothly.

Enough is enough. Moderators need to start taking these threads down IMO because it is ridiculous already. You idiots do not need to make the same thread everyday. We all get it, you guys do not like Lock. Ok guys, once again: DON'T PLAY.

It amazes me how you people are not happy that you can play at all, given the current situation in the United States.

All you complainers make me sick.

What you are saying here, is that your opinion was not changed by GETTING your money. So you would have had the same opinion of Lock had they just NOT paid you out?

It's strange that your range of opinions isn't changed at all, by the outcome of getting or not getting your money. Now that's not being results oriented, IMO.
