Given that the checks if are drawn off foreign banks, that process can take a little longer than the average. I would give it at least 7-10 business days before I was confident. It could be more in a foreign scenario. However I imagine since it's drawn off Canadian Banks (at least that's what my first check was) It's more legit and quicker than a check drawn off a Nigerian institution.

Good post. All of this is quite accurate information btw for everyone. My recent check (deposited yesterday) was also from a Canadian bank. Even if your money shows as available in your bank account after a couple days, more of a 7-10 day timeline is best before declaring the money as your own.
I will indeed update at the end of next week (around June 21st) whether or not the check is seemingly in the clear. If you're given the option, choose Western Union over receiving a check, just my opinion.
