Set over set 3 times in a row huh? It's all random Set over set 3 times in a row huh? It's all random

I usually take the side of thinking this is legit business but I'm pretty sketched out by the way the past 2 days have been for me. Had 55, admittedly overcalled a little in the .10 games (guy 3bet to .80) but we were both deep stacked and I had the button. So I decided I'd fish for a set. But regardless of the EV of that call, the hand shouldn't be dead to 1 out on a K53, but it was. Then just earlier today I potted to .40 with KK myself in the small blind in the .04 game, KJ whatever, all rainbow, and then the other guy who overcalled in the big blind with JJ was probably just as sketched as I was at the coincidence. Then about 5 minutes later I got stacked with 33 against KK on a K53 flop (almost the same flop)?

Oh yeah, here's another good one. I had KK, potted preflop and twice in a row the flop was QT something and both times the same guy who overcalled me had QQ. Same exact hands, same exact players, and the same exact flop in less than 5 minutes. I've been one of the last players to be suspicious but this is pretty dang effed up.

So it wasn't three times in a row? Right?

I'm not sure I see the point of those last two responses, unless maybe you think I'm making it up? If that's the case I can send the hand histories over skype, or however you want them to be substantiated.

EDIT:

3rd guy. It was three times in a row that I flopped a set, there was another set in the hand. It was not consecutive hands if that's what you mean.

so you lost with 55 vs kk and 33 vs jj and kk vs qq ?
Not saying you are making it up but it happens... especially at micros where no one folds a pair preflop

No im sure it happened, just saying it wasn't 3 times in a row like your title says. And your story isn't anything crazy FYI, everyone goes through a few runs like that if you play enough online.

Obviously not the point.. it's the manner in which he lost them, aswell as being rather near in time.

But still it's just variance.

Yeah so the title's misleading. I know there's always that argument about variance eventually catching up if you play so many hands like I do but...well, that's what they want you to think! And it's why they get away with it! See?!

...Not really coming here for bragging stories, but its definitely possible and nothing noteworthy. I was 20 plus tabling on stars and full tilt and it happened to me 7x in one night.

It's just variance. I flopped a set of 3s twice before in one week and ran into a set of 10s both times and couldn't hit. The thing is I was playing live poker. If it was online I'm sure ud say it was rigged
