Do you really think anyone is getting 10k+ sngs in one month on Lock? Most likely more since high stakes never run. He's obviously not playing solely DON's and raking 20k a month.

I don't know sng traffic. 300 sngs a day for a 15-20 tabler isn't doable? I have no idea. He obviously has generated a fair amount of mgr somehow.

Those super turbos go really fast. DON's can be played on pseudo-autopilot if you want.

I've played 500 superturbos in 4.5 hours on old merge before for the RPM $109 tourney ticket promotion thing. Granted, I was playing a lot of microstakes to get there and traffic on old merge might be different than current lock. I have no idea. But that was 500 tourneys in less than 5 hours. Very doable.

300 sngs a day of any format is impossible on Lock right now. Dons last nearly 10x as long as the supers on Merge did in those days and the volume just isn't there currently. 300 dons a day is impossible on Lock. Ever more impossible is 300 high stakes dons.

I'd say it is a virtual lock they are grinding flips vs each other. His statement about it not violating the terms of service was pretty damning IMO.

With that said, he is correct. It does not violate the TOS directly as they are currently written. That doesn't mean Lock won't finagle the interpretation of their collusion section to include this however.

Yeah, it is less value per level now, but it's great for players like me that had no chance before unless I did a ton of grinding on day 1. I barely played last month because of that and this promo is exactly what I need to encourage me to put in a ton of play. I expect the tables will be packed as long as there are still spots open at the first 4-6 levels.

Better for us people who don't play as much. I like more prizes over super value for a few players.

First of all I understand why a player like johndonkrad would prefer ronin over botk.

However for a player like me botk is much better. I now have a realistic chance of making some of the later levels, like maybe down to level 18. This month I didn't even care about Ronin because I had no chance to make any significant extra money so Ronin didn't cause me to play any more poker than I normally do. However because of botk I'm gonna play a lot more poker in September.

But I do agree that there are way too many prizes awarded to the first 4 levels of botk. I think a good idea for next month (if you plan on running botk next month) would be to take 2000 prizes away from level 1 and 500 away from 2,3, and 4. That's $13,000 in prize money (i think). Take this money and spread it to some of the lower levels like say 13-18 by increasing the amount of prizes awarded at these levels or maybe by increasing the dollar amount awarded at these levels. This extra money that you would be giving away at these levels is money that you would be giving away anyways as opposed to taking money from say level 58 (which you probably are not gonna pay out) and spreading it to the upper levels.

A lot of people on the high grinder side of the fence spent August throwing around rude comments instead of trying to find a happy medium for all players. This is exactly what happens when players get selfish for their rake group and don't look out for the whole player base. It is no surprise Lock waited to the last possible minute to release BOTK.

Anyone that think September BOTK is a huge fail for the top maybe needs to admit August Ronin was a huge fail for the bottom and start working on something better for everyone in October.

I would still like to know how someone raked over $24,000 playing sngs on Lock. Every time I look in the sng lobby theres 3 tables running.

The way they list the rake/prizes is so misleading - didn't Ronin have a "total rake/fees"?

1 hand coinflip husngs. It is/was possible to get well over 100% rb playing these with THEFUTURE dep bonus running. $96 + $4 and you can reg hundreds in an hour.

Pretty much this. I think the "lashback" is ridiculous given that THEFUTURE is still running and high rakers are still looking at effective RB well over SNE level on a daily basis (which doesn't require a yearlong grind to obtain or maintain).

But by all means, "protest" away by killing your own value (@donkrad and cookies).

This is just disgusting. I'm not mad at players for doing it. I'm mad at Lock for actually losing money on these awful tournaments. These tournaments should not exist in the first place.

I'm not sure if you're serious. Shane's claim that this is better than Ronin has to be one of the least accurate statements ever made on twoplustwo. I realize Ronin wasn't sustainable, but its pretty easy to understand why people would complain about a massive reduction in value for September on 8/31 after being told it would be 'better'.

The value there is so good already. Ronin is smaller than either rakeback/vip or the reload.

No, players were not going to pull in 100%+ rakeback or whatever it is forever. We would love for that to be possible but some of us live on this planet.
