The lack of communication regarding the segregation problems on this network has been a major issue. It's largely been a customer service issue too. Lock Poker seems to always be playing catch-up and reacting to information players are sharing regarding their inability to play with other players. How do you plan to remedy this situation going forward? Can you explain what methods of segregation were previously in place and how that differs from what is currently in place?

As far as Im aware there should be no Fair Play levels between players on Lock, so all Lock players have access to all Lock Players but fair play is still in place between the different rooms in some manner. Again I get no details on this it was just confirmed to me that there is both skill segregation and room segregation at different levels for some rooms.

Previous we have had just Lock players segregated at certain levels, then we had segregation based on skill level network wide, which was then tweaked several times and now has been dialled back so the effects for many players will be minimal but not all players from all rooms on the network have access to each other.

Shane, even if the network is making changes without telling you guys, why don't you pass that information along to the players as soon as it becomes available to you?

The first I usually know about any changes is when its posted here, when I question the network management they will confirm changes but never give details. I then come in and confirm what I know. I have requested to be informed when changes are put in place as well as when software updates are going live and what they will entail but neither request has been fulfilled yet.

We dont seem to be alone in this, I have seen the Intertops rep post something similar about not receiving any notification.

Well that's pretty mind boggling if it's true, since that means that the management at the site is finding things out AFTER the players.

And if this is a site wide issue, then why don't all of the skins get together and demand better communication from the network? Do you have no leverage?

Surely improving communication would help your customer base not to feel quite so pissed off, and the network as a whole would grow if people weren't bitching so much. Seems like a win-win. Customers get better info, network grows.

It appears that they dont consider these tweaks to Fair Play important enough to be notifying us all. Which is obviously ridiculous, but they seem to think that no one really notices these changes.

Growth doesn't seem to be a big focus for the network, otherwise they would have caved into pressure and either never put Fair Play in place or removed it completely by now. As you point out there are so many other things that are causing grief for players, just removing Fair Play would at least take away one stressor and help the network as a whole rebound.

If the network controls fair play, why would it be affecting Lock. Lock is segregated from the network.

Lock isn't segregated from the network, players at some levels are shared between Lock and other rooms.

The network wont go into detail with me what those levels are but they have said that there is definitely still some sharing of players.

The answer is the smaller stakes and tournaments are shared, everything else is not.

First part pretty much answers my question about today's change to the MTT schedule. Thanks.

This... From an Intertops perspective.

Everything 50NL/PLO+ is segregated on Intertops.

PLO200 on Juicy still shares PLO200 with Lock like before.

For PLO50+ Intertops, Lock and Juicy are all segregated from one another except for the 1 stake of PLO200.

I didn't record NLH, but I looked and Intertops is completely segregated from Lock/Juicy. Lock/Juicy share the same NLH tables.

I made this spreadsheet real quick so it's not fancy, but take a look.

** I included all tables, even the empty ones. I did not include any of the lock promo tables.

LOL at Lock saying segregation is good for Lock poker players. Nothing like using words to convey an entirely different meaning or agenda while hiding the actual problem or issue. Kinda reminds me of when the media talks about gun violence in Chicago. When did it start being gun violence and stop being GANG violence...lol.

Anyways, back to "segregation" and Lock's "alleged" care for its players and general poker ecology. Please Lock, we are not as dumb as you think...lets call "segregation" technology what it really is..."We Can't Pay" technology.

"We Can't Pay" technology is a system set up by Lock to ensure Lock players don't lose money to players on other revo skins. If that were to happen Lock would be liable to said skins and thus have to settle up with those skins for those skins covering their own winning players. Lock clearly doesn't want to be on the hook to any of these skins. Its better they are just on the hook to Joe Blow, who it can just ignore and string along for 6 months before potentially paying out.
