I have confirmed this morning that this does not mean players who have received transfers will bever be able to cashout.

Im still waiting to hear how it will work exactly, as soon as I have that information I will come back in here with it.

And security have reiterated that any players with questions can direct these directly to the security team at security@lockpoker.eu

Hey Shane,

I posted this in the "Withdraw Cancelled..." thread as well, but for some additional transparency (and in case the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing), I got this answer from Live Chat support earlier today. There didn't seem to be any confusion about the policy.

How can I help you?
you
I was wondering if you could tell me what the requirements are for withdrawing money you received as a transfer. Is there some playthrough requirement?
Sean
Sure one moment
you
I've seen the TOS, but I can't make heads or tails of it
Sean
I'm afraid no transferred funds can be cashed out
Sean
If it isn't your intention to play with funds transferred to yourself then you'd have to send them back to the sender sorry
you
So....you can seed your account with transferred funds, but you can only cash out what you win from those seed funds?
Sean
Exactly, yes
you
OK, thanks for the clarification.

Shane why do you continue to accept Americans if they can only get a 3k check once every 5 months?
04-28-2013 , 08:20 PM
The irony is that this whole thing just hurt the value of lock funds even more...
Look at the P2P forum here, its gone to .35 on the 1$. Thanks again LOCK!

Lock Poker is broke. Player funds are gone.

An inside source told me that Lock was greatly affected by the Cyprus bank failures of 2012, and is basically broke.

All of the recent excuses to delay and deny cashouts (along with the various tournament and cash game segregations) have been attempts by Lock to accumulate deposits while keeping withdrawals to an extreme minimum.

Don't bother debating with Shane about the various excuses he's giving, because the bottom line is that you can't get blood from a stone, and Lock simply doesn't have the player money to send anyone.

It's a similar situation to what occurred at both Pokerspot (Dutch Boyd's old site) and Full Tilt.

If they can't right the ship with deposits under false pretenses, the site will completely go under.

Very few (if any) will get paid in the meantime.

If Shane wants to deny this, I will offer to pay an independent and accredited third-party auditor at my own expense to audit Lock's bank accounts.

So if you get a player transfer of X amount how much do you need to rake before you can cash out?

Going by Security, and live chat, you can never cash out X, you can only return it to the sender.

From what their rep said, it sounds like it's rake-independent. If I understand it correctly, if somebody transfers you $100, and you run it up to $1000, you can cash out $900. The last $100 can never be cashed out by you, but you can transfer the $100 back to your buddy who sent it to you.

They just told me otherwise? (SEE EMAIL BELOW) This appears to me that you just need to wager the amount you received as a deposit. I received $2,000, so does that mean I have to rake $2,000? What does wager mean.

-----------------------

All player transfers have a minimum wagering requirement of 1X prior to being cashed out by the recipient. Players who wish to bypass this wagering requirement will have deducted from their account, prior to cashing out any and all processing costs and/or fee reimbursement.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Kind Regards,
Crista

Are the amounts of transferred funds that are not eligible for cashout reflected in the cashier as a difference between 'poker balance' and 'withdrawable balance' ?
04-29-2013 , 02:00 AM
A ******ed aspect of this not yet mentioned is that once player A transfers funds to player B, player B is -- per lock policy -- unable to withdraw them...the only player who may withdraw them is player A...presumably if they're transferred BACK to him.

But there's just NO WAY IN HELL that Lock's cashier system is sophisticated enough to be able to match up an outgoing transfer to a player with an incoming transfer from that player at a future point in time. The net result is that every cashout of this nature is going to be blocked by Lock's cashier red-flag (as transferred funds), and players are going to have to engage in a back and forth email with their ******ed "support" reps (see post a few above) just to get their cash out. RIP Lock.

So rather than delaying cashouts lock has resorted to blatant thievery? Lol. The funny thing is that in no way is this surprising.

It really is ridiculous. I feel like I'm a moderator at a presidential debate, they WILL NOT answer your question for the first 3 times you ask it. It's just a ploy for you to give up.

Player: What is the status of my cash out?

Lock: In order to cash out, you need to be verified.

Player: I already have been verified and have had over 10 cash outs before, you did not answer my question, what is the status of my cash out?

Lock: You are allowed 1 withdrawal per 30 days.

Player: WTF, are you ******ed...that did not answer my question, what is the status of my CASH OUT

Lock: I like Turtles
