It's not like they neglected to take it down for a few hours and then somebody got burned by it.

They are AWARE of the problem. Customer-service has already said they will not pay him and that the ad is old. We have mentioned it in this thread, that Shane has probably read, that it is still up there. And it has now been a few weeks (not hours).

Even if they are so lazy as to not look at their own website...we are DIRECTLY TELLING THEM that they have errors on there.

Do they care? Apparently not.

Seriously, it takes 2 minutes to go and change or remove something like this. If their website is poorly designed and they have to go directly to the guy who has dreamweaver-software already on his computer and he's the only that can do it and he happens to not be around, then they need to fix that.

But generally speaking, this is a 2 minute fix...provided somebody is there to actually do it.

I was informed of a typo on my very small company's website and was in there within an hour to change it. Just so that things would be more professional on there. This wasn't a situation where we were deceiving our own customers into believing a promotion was available that wasn't. It was just a typo.

The fact that Lock STILL has not made the change is cause for some amount of concern. It leads one to conclude that there actually isn't somebody around to do it. And that they don't consider it an emergency to be false advertising here.

There is a matter of respect for their own customers here. A 2 minute fix but they can't get around to doing it.

"Bigger fish to fry?" Than promoting things that don't exist? Than having to deal with people like the OP reporting that they won and deal with threads like this?

Quite happy to see Bob getting on Lock now. You were overly patient at the start I must say. This is pretty absurd though, for a number of reasons.

1. False advertising. It's bad.

2. They were clearly hyping up Ronin and even made updates to their promo section and to the Ronin page. This shows us they have the ability to, but simply don't care to, update the page to remove the other promos.

3. The Royal Flush promo is simply one of about a ten promos that would appear to be running if you weren't someone who is familiar with this situation and knows that they aren't. Sng/tourney leaderboards, gtd SATs and tourneys that either aren't running at all or are running at significantly lower gtds than advertised on the website.


Most of the problems we've had appear to be slowly but surely being taken care of, and yet ironically this problem which is actually a pretty massive problem imo, is not being fixed. And as Bob has said, it's likely a five minute fix to simply remove the old promos so that only current ones show. The most misleading thing of all is that Ronin, which is hyped up and everyone is aware of, appears right along side all of the dead promos which makes it seem as if they would likely be active as well.

No I wasn't. I've been on them relatively hard from the beginning of this mess with the new network....and way before that too actually.

I had every expectation that they would have the points, rakeback, ronin, everything else somewhat lined up and ready to roll with the new network. Honestly, why wouldn't they?

I listened to Shane say that they had increased their support and were disappointed in past performance and were now absolutely going to improve.

I'm continuing to actually try to help them understand what they are screwing up and what is wrong on their site because, shockingly, they seem kind of unaware of some of these things...or seem to not think they are worth addressing....such as the two minute fix to their own website.


In the very least, Shane seems to be reading some of the stuff on here. And they do actually make some little strides that we can see such as getting the Ronin payments going and making the statement that all new checks are going out to everyone and getting the points back up in the cashier/admin thing, etc.


A lot of you guys haven't been around Lock very long. Their website stuff has been an issue for a long time. Last year, they had Ronin and some other promos on their website long AFTER the promos had been killed. For several months actually. The Ronin promo that was up there did say, "From May 1 to May 30" (referring to 2011) so at least there was that. But why leave it up there in the first place? Just looks bad. Plus, a lot of times the promo actually had carried over to the next month....they just didn't bother changing the dates in the website promo for it.

As far as I remember, I was one of the only ones calling them out for that and thought it was inappropriate and weird looking to not update their own website. I said the same thing about the lack of clarity on their site for the VIP program, no details/explanation of the casino bonus, etc.

So to that end, I've been on their case about this type of thing for MONTHS before this thread brought up the general topic of the website updating again. They've had brief stretches where they have added to their website in a bit more timely fashion. But mostly, leaving a dead promo up there for "ONLY" a few weeks after it has been killed is not unusual for them.

Yeah, I can understand that. I've only been on Lock since a couple of weeks before the move to Revolution and thus have only been reading these forums since then.

I was just going to post the requirements for the promo that Lock has listed on it's website, but it appears that they have finally cleaned up their promo page and there are no more inactive promo's listed.

Very, very glad to see that Lock has updated their website. Now if only the OP would confirm that he gets paid, all is well.

I'm guessing OP does not get paid. He absolutely should. But I don't think Lock is going to.

Good for them for finally getting to the promo page though and providing the correct information. It shouldn't take a couple weeks of badgering and pressure in their own forum to get this done. But hopefully the lesson is learned and they will do better at this moving forward.

Perhaps you could contribute to the discussions about the actual topic (being Lock Poker) instead of clogging with odd personal attacks. I felt that the post you quoted was not completely worthless and did relate to the discussion. Your post however didn't seem to add very much.

Well depending on exactly when you hit the royal, exactly when Lock removed the promo from their website, and if it met all the terms and conditions of the listed promo, you may have a case. Unfortunately I do not know when Lock updated the website.

The payout of the promo was 100 big blinds, so you'd be owed $10.

I'm pretty sure that one of the requirements of the promo was the ability to show the hand history.

Open Lock, click options, then the hand history tab on the right. It'll tell you if it's saving hand histories and where it's saving them to. Check there.

I just clicked the link someone posted above that goes to the Royal Flush promo page - it still works. Weird.

Anyways, here are the requirements that they have listed:

Only available for real money Texas Hold'em ring games (not tournament hands)

Both Hole Cards must be used

Player must win hand / pot with the Royal Flush (no rabbit hunts)

Must be submitted within 48 hours from hand completion

If the Royal Flush comes down on a Deal It Twice table only the FIRST dealt turn and river qualify for the bonus.

Bonus equivalent to 100 x big blind ($1,000 Maximum Bonus)

You must earn 100 comp points per bonus $1 before withdrawal

Bonus not available for Blackjack use

Please allow 48 hrs for bonus to be credited

If you receive the royal flush when using the Deal It Twice feature the second dealt hand is NOT eligible for Royal Flush Bonus
