Lock Poker Double-ups Thread - Page 8 - Two Plus Two

I used to be johnnyv5000 on stars, Ive played more dons that almost anyone ever, killed em for like 30gs when they first came out on stars, but then obv the bubble changed lots of collusion... I am here to say that DONS are the WORST form of poker to play professionally, if anyone knows its me.. just sayin

Better question is what Is Johnny doing now? Obv there is a ceiling to making money on doNs. What are you playing now Johnny? I've told myself i should switch to HUSNGs or PLO but it hasn't happened as Im a big p&ssy so to speak

I play mostly on Merge still but lately have been playing both sites at once.

I personally think they can still be beat for profit. My issues with Lock have more to do with the software, the ease of multitabling and volume. I like everything else.

I really don't see how people say these don't involve much thinking at all. The bubble play especially is not so straight forward sometimes and I think can be quite interesting. But to each their own I guess.

i wonder why my sharkscope is so much better on BCP than it was on feltstars and on lock?

anyway im doing ok in $2 and $5 but thats only like $1-2 at most per hour, i cant easily live off that. i dont have enough on lock for $25 ones which is really my longterm goal.

also what are the regulars opinions in here of how the player aa23eachhand plays?

i think im playing too much PLO8 don sngs, i know how to play plo8 but am new to it being in the DON sng format since other sites dont offer it. maybe thats bringing my ss down?

also please explain why many of the people i see who are in BOTH the $2 and $5 sngs never sign up for the $3 ones, and why the $3 ones never ever fill anytime i join one. this to me makes no sense whatsoever.

are there actually people in this thread who are thinking ill play $2 and $5 sngs, but i wont play if its $3? sure seems that way. also the $7 ones never fill either.

Well. Truth is my grandmother could've beaten the Dons on Stars back in 2009 (shes very nitty). They're a little tougher now but you can still make a good $20-$30 an hour at proper stakes mass tabling even with merges withering volume

That might change in a few days if BCP (or other skins) split off

If BCP splits off it's going to devastate our already miniscule player pool. Looks like I'm going to need to figure out how to play on 3 networks simultaneously. Oh joy!

Hey sorry guys new to 2+2 obv. I've changed my focus to hu hypers and mtts, I'm not saying dons can't be profitable. I am just saying that you don't have to knw anything about poker to collude in them and even 2 people colluding can be devastating on your broll. Maybe I'm bitter lol but grinding dons just makes me wanna throw up
