Lock Poker changes my address, WU Fails Lock Poker changes my address, WU Fails

Background: Pre-Revolution I've had 4-5 very successful WU cashouts on Lock and was very pleased with their site and cashout speed in the current climate ( I am a US customer)

I requested a WU cashout on 6/15 and got the declined email from the processor. I found out via 2p2 that this was normal and I'd be receiving my Control Number soon in the history of my cashier.

The problem is that my WU cashout showed up as "denied" with no control number due to a problem with my zipcode. The problem I ended up discovering is that in the move from Merge to Revolution, Lock changed my home state from NY to NJ, which caused my zipcode to not match my state and address.

Two days ago, a lock poker rep told me that I needed to change my zipcode. AFAIK, it is not even possible for players to change their address that has already been verified by the site. I never changed it in the first place. When I go to withdraw via the WU cashier, it has the correct address from NY, but it doesn't match the state in the regular lock cashier.

My money hasn't been credited back to my account and I haven't heard back from support in a couple days (which is realize is more than normal, I just want to know where my money is). I'd like to cash out again, but there's no point if it will just be denied due to a non-matching address that I didn't change.

If anyone can help me, it would be appreciated.

Maybe the rep meant that you should inform them of your new address? I don't believe there is a place to change or edit your own address there. Which seems really odd to me. I need to change my address too. (Because I moved...not because Lock suddenly decided that I should be living in NJ)

Yeah, I resent them my utility bill, the problem is that it isn't a new address...they just changed the state on my current one.

I'm in no way comparing them to FT, but the info change is just frustrating b/c it cost me a timely cashout and I still don't know where my cash is.

So Lock reimbursed me my $300 minus my $30 fee...I requested another cash out and it has already been denied in the cashier. My address is still wrong in my cashier. Just can't figure this out for the life of me.

It's likely from their zip code database being off. Most people don't know the information is updated regularly, because new zip codes are added and others are 'edited', so the data they use has to be updated on a regular basis.

If the new version has an NJ where NY should be, then it will obviously be inaccurate in their system, and as far as fixing it goes, making the 'zip code to state relationship' editable isn't something you normally write in to admin systems, unless you have frequent issues with it and even if they did it would not do any good if their system is written correctly, because the data should auto-update when new data is available from the provider or at regular intervals, so any changes they made would be overwritten shortly after they changed it.

If the data is updated dynamically (like it should be) every 7, 14, 30 days (whatever) then it's not even something they will be able to change on their end. They will have to contact the data provider and get them to change it in their system.

Anyway, it's pretty realistic to think the problem is not an easy fix and it's pretty unrealistic to think they're going to double or triple verify every single zip code in the US by hand to see if the state they have listed is correct and then maintain their own database of US zip codes, which change frequently and is likely what they would have to do to have the information editable on their end.

My guess is you're waiting for the zip code data provider to update the information Lock is getting and the solution is not as simple as it may appear on the surface.
