Im very pleased with everything but the cash out wait time. Which has me nervous, because of what happen to player funds with ftp. That would be devastating to me if it were to happen again.

E-mail support, they have a very high success rate in getting people deposited through the casino then moved over to poker. I'm editing the part out where you ask for a hand out.

So, I see the withdrawals are pretty slow. Is this for customers based in the US? what about customers outside of the USA? Do they get their money significantly faster?

MoneyBookers and Neteller withdrawals for non-US players are very fast, I think they say 7-10 days but I often hear of them taking ~4. Checks are the same for everyone though, regardless of location. So as long as you can use MB (sorry, I guess it's Skrill now) or Neteller you're good.

Eric, thanks for posting on 2+2 (I know, that's your job)

You don't know me thru here but in years past we exchanged e-mail on a few occassions discussing strategy. Bottom line, I play mostly live and have no desire or need to move to another country to play on Stars.

My question is simple and probably shared by most others; is my money (deposit and winnings) safe on Lock? Are these withdrawal issues going to be resolved and when? In light of the DoJ's recent jabber can US players expect something available like e-check so $$ can just be transferred into our accounts?

Does Lock and Carbon share the same accounting people; i.e., is a withdrawal at Lock or Carbon one and the same?

I really am not willing to wait over a month for a check if I score a tournament win, and I certainly am not paying a fee for it.

Good Cards, and Happy New Year to you and your family.

Approved 1/5!! Without the doubt the longest I've had to wait(7 weeks) though. Excited about the new withdrawal options though.

If I didn't think your money was safe, I wouldn't be promoting the site. We have some new withdrawal options coming on or before Feb 1st, including bank wires. I don't personally see withdrawals getting faster than 2-3 weeks with regularity any time in the near future (they're not there now, but when we introduce our new checks/wires toward the end of the month that's the expected time frame), but wires will cap out at $9900 (for Black and Black Elite VIPs only though). So if you hit a big enough score it would certainly take a little time to get it all off, and if you weren't Black or Black Elite it could take quite some time.

I really doubt something like echecks will happen again in the near future. It's just too dangerous in the current environment?

As of right now a withdrawal on Carbon and Lock are one and the same, yes. Our new withdrawals will be separate though.

Thanks

Thanks for the response.

Are the slow withdrawals US specific?, i.e., are withdrawals for players' in other countries substantially faster?

On another subject, do all the Merge sites share the same tournaments? i.e., the player pool comes from Lock, Carbon, PokerHost, etc.?

Ukash and MB withdrawals for me are about 1 day in Canada. Not bragging, just relaying info.

Rizen,
I am new to 2p2 and lock but reading the above "new" withdrawal method coming on or before 2/1/12 makes me nervous in terms of what you guys are engaging in with the US climate. Specifically the maximum wire of $9900. You do know that wires $10,000 or more get automatic attention of the IRS don't you? This $9900 maximum is fishy. It reaffirms to me that you guys are no different then full tilt in terms of engaging in shady behavior which makes me not want to risk my own money on your site, despite me really wanting to play. Perhaps you can explain why you guys have a cap of $9900? Wires generally have no cap which is why they are the best/safest transfer method of funds between people....putting a cap on it really has raised red flags with me so I just want to know why. Thanks.

The cap is set by the processor, not us. I can't speculate on why they set the limit there, although it wouldn't at all surprise me if it has something to do with what you mention below.

The withdrawal times are specific to checks, not region, but as another user already said, skrill and neteller outside the US is VERY fast, usually less than a week and often just a few days.

There are site specific tournaments occasionally, but 99% of the tournaments are shared across the Merge network, yes.

Thanks

Its a great place to play. The only downside is the slow cashouts for US which have been said to get better this following month.
