The only "bad" thing that could happen is if the Lock prices go back up massively then u lose out some.. but the positives outweigh the negatives by far imo.
But what's to keep the more recent "2-4 months" timeframe on payouts? What new bout will befall our heroes that might hold up the next round of cashouts? The track record over the past 8 months speaks for itself. As I say, if you can wait and not mind it, then sure - cash out through the regular channels. But how many folks can wait for upwards of 5-6 months if things slow down again?
You've got a pending WU cashout at 162 days and counting. And that's just one that I know about. I'm sure there are others, to say nothing of checks. How can you see that, and the standard wait-time over the past eight months (I mean really...how far back should we go to get a "real look" at what the timeframes are?), and recommend a cashout through check/WU at this time? I tell folks about P2P because, though you take a hit in vig, you get money now and circumvent this atrocious system in place.
If you put in $1,000 (hopefully via P2P, since that only cost you $400) and are up to $10k, of course it sucks to see that and know a P2P trade will only yield you $4k. But that's $3k profit, in your hands in 24-48 hours or less given your transfer limits.
The only "insurance" right now is cash in hand. Lock hasn't exactly done a great job making people feel secure about the money the put/have on their skin. I mean, aside from just tapping out and moving to a new room, realize that your funds are worth .4 in trading and reload/transfer out accordingly. Why even subject yourself to the lottery of Lock's cashout system? What have they done to reassure players that things will be better now, or in the future?
