this, not sure why you'd save them, the value isn't particulary great on the items, and you'll be buying something you wouldn't otherwise buy.

the lambo would cost you nearly 700k worth of points...you can do better than the poor mans lambo for 700k

I trade my points for cash like the others. The store items don't seem like a good bargain to me.

I always cash in my points when I am 50FPP+. I guess I could wait until the end of the month to get a nice chunk, but what's the point? Same value and more risk that they'll disappear. - Not that I've seen that ever being the case, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I just wonder if lock will actually dish out that lambo if somebody actually does get to that point

Well I guess the general consensus is everyone uses their points for buy ins, I do too, but I was just wondering if anyone has actually accumulated a lot of points

I have around 40k. Probably going to get an iPad or something.

That's kind of the thing, you could cash em in and go buy an ipad with the money. (or order online)

I just don't see the point, especially since i think you're probably paying more than retail price on their shop.

The iPad for 115,000 point would cost you $1,642. Not a good deal.

Cash in your points and get a $1000 iTunes credit with it... or a case... or a stripper.

Nothing in the store is worth it. If it were a deal sure. But the deal is for Lock.

You can buy a dozen of Lock T-shirts & hoodies which you can't find elsewere )
08-01-2012 , 08:55 PM
even if you sabed enough points do you think you would even get your item you bought in the store?

To me the Lock store is like going time the arcade and play a bunch of skee ball and redeem those tickets through the little ticket cruncher and for 10,000 tickets you get a little plastic toy or powdered candy.

It's way worse of a deal for RB players too because they earn them slower - if they offered a lock hoodie that was less than $60 I'd rock it on my next Foxwoods trip

This.

Please do math people. It's not hard.

You can cashout the points AND sell them in the transfer thread at a really terrible rate and can STILL buy yourself an ipad3 for way less than it costs in the store.

Unless you are super-keen on paying $1642 for an ipad that you can get elsewhere for $750...in which case you are an idiot.

Not to mention the whole aspect of shipments from the Lock store not necessarily being processed super-fast (I have no idea....it's just a hunch)

Not sure why anyone saves them? I convert them for cash at the end of every day like daily rb.
08-04-2012 , 03:43 PM
LOL at being scared your points would disappear...
08-04-2012 , 06:06 PM
I don't blame him for that. I have over 150k points on FT that I will probably never see again...

Anyone remember the day when poker stores were about having fun and getting random/creative/lol stuff instead of the constant "points for cash" grind they are now?

I remember back in the PP day I used to get all sorts of wacky/fun stuff that I probably would of never gotten if I just converted points for cash. Made poker a lot more "fun"...something I think is missing nowadays.

Friends and I used to have grinding marathons where we'd gogogogogo on points, just because we wanted some stupid/random gift for free. We made money while we played of course, but it was about more then that. It was about having fun, getting stupid **** for free. And actually getting the items in a week or 2.

Haha I used to do this all the time on FTP - I never bothered with trading points on 2p2 so instead of getting a few extra buyins I got full tilt cards and teddy bears. Which in retrospect was the right move because if I took the money it would've been FTP monopoly money. The DOJ can never take my teddy bear though.
