Got an account on Intertops (almost no volume and down 5-6 buyins) that's in the guppy tank and the worst reg at 20NL, guy literally played 200K+ hands in the last month is at all the 19/beginer tables. Naturally, he's also down a ton, but there should be a volume limit to being in the guppy tier. IE, if you play more than 10K/hands per month, you don't qualify. Of course I'm up a couple buyins after playing MAYBE 10K/hands per month and I can't see any of those tables (19 or Beginer) on Lock.

Shane:

Once you are in tier 3, is there ever a possibility of moving back to tier 2 again without playing?

The whole thing is a disaster. Yesterday a 10NL reg posted that he'd been bumped up to 'advanced'.

How the **** are you supposed to move up if you're a micro player in the top tier?

He's gonna have to play the top 1/3 of every stakes as he moves up from now on. That's just brutal and stupid.

its pretty obvious that the people that put this together are pretty clueless about what they're doing. setting aside whether or not the concept is a good idea, the mechanics of it are completely idiotic.

Your right, but its what they want. Idealy they would love to kill 200nl and up.

Advanced PLO tables:
1 600 PLO, 1 400 PLO, 1 200 PLO, 1 100 PLO, and 2 50 PLO. Awesome move Revolution.

So i can see a total of 3 NL .25-50 i am going to assume i am in the top tier then? This whole thing is a Fing joke.
03-14-2013 , 11:34 PM
I agree. Easiest way to check is to download client of skin you don't have account on and view the lobby. You'll probably see a bunch of tables unavailable to you on your skin....
03-14-2013 , 11:35 PM
OK. I was looking at the number of games in the lobby and when I signed in the number of games dropped significantly (note: this was my first time logging in since fair play was started). Hard to believe there are no 6max 50nl games running at 11:30est. Maybe I am too fishy.
03-14-2013 , 11:38 PM
yup i see 7 .25/.5nl tables or so not including heads up, and i'm in the middle i believe bc i cant see any beginner tables

What I'm wondering is how often are people re-evaluated. I'm in the bottom tier, but lately I've been playing really well, so how long do I have to play well before I am in the middle tier?

The best part about their pitch, from Shane, is that the middle tier can play with everyone, which may be true. But, the middle tier, can't play at all tables.

The bottomline is, guppies have their own small set of tables, that no other tier has access to and so do sharks. Simple transitive properties tell you this has to be the case to achieve their goal. I.E., if fish could sit at middle tier tables and so could sharks, then sharks are sitting with fish. Problem is, sitting in the middle tier cuts you off from a nice percentage of the fish you need to survive and move up.

Middle tier can play at every single table.

If this is true, then my account is in the "advanced" tier. Which is ridiculous, a small winner at 10nl and 20nl with small volume should NEVER be there. In fact, an "advanced" tier should be based on winrate/volume/average stake. I would think that any player, who hasn't played a hand above 50nl should never be in the "advanced" tier.

I can't see any beginning tables, I see 3max tables and have no 6max tables running at 50nl so maybe that means top tier? Implementing this is so dumb considering the player pool is limited already. Lock keep it simple, pay people on time, and the players will come.

i can see three 6-max tables running at 50nl and one 9-max running there also if that helps

People, stop asking what tier you are in if you are unable to take 2 minutes to do the following:

lol the technology is so "FAIR" they are seeing a record number of sign-ups from female players! It's working! Lock has solved the disparity of male to female poker players

so... to be clear, can the middle tier play at any table? Or just only be able to play any player, but not sit at these beginner tables? Do these beginner tables say "beginner table" on them? Like, can fish know they exist, or can they just sit anywhere and be none the wiser?

The tables say "Beginner" and are green in the lobby.

The beginner tables arent the only tables the fish can sit at, they are just a new addition to help the new players buy giving them somewhere they can play just with beginners.

There are lost of other tables they can sit at and play against the middle tier players.
