My guess is they were somehow directed to respond with that blurb and it just can't be accurate. I mean seriously, if transferred funds AND winnings from transferred funds cannot be cashed out...and that's a permanent policy....that's just completely ridiculous.
I feel that if Lock does pay (questionable at this point) then transferred funds which meet a playthrough requirement....and/or are cleared of any money laundering will be able to be cashed out at some point.
I don't see a scenario where they just steal "some" of the money and keep going. They will either shut down and steal "all" of the money....or fix their transfer policy and try to continue on.
Agreed on all of this for the most part. Which us why it is critical to have somebody in place here that can communicate the issues effectively to the players, understand what they are concerned about, communicate that back to lock and report back here correctly, etc. You need somebody to be able to say, "yeah, that doesnt look right to me either" and to get to the bottom of it.
Instead, Shane just tells people here to email lock again...even if the complaint or question is "lock support said this..is that right?"
And I suspect Shane's reports back to Lock are something like, "yeah, things are going okay on 2+2. A few players are concerned with support...but players always complain. Nothing to worry about
Seriously, Shane was so bothered at the players reporting legitimate issues here. He actually blamed the players and customers on several occasions. Just ridiculous lack of professionalism. We need somebody here who is not antagonistic to the freaking customers and can communicate like a normal person.
Whether the new person having better skills at this helps with the situation in general, I have no idea. But it can't hurt. I do think if any chance of repairing this exists then this aspect is legitimately important.
Note, I'm not making jokes about
Shane leaving or who the new guy will be. This is a serious deal. 2+2 getting involved is great so far. Lock is changing their rep here, they aren't closing up shop completely on here which I certainly was afraid could be a possibility. Not even close to the finish line or any kind of remedy here. But at least it isn't completely over after 2+2 put the pressure on...and lock has indicated they want to work with 2+2 about this.
