TY Mat/Mason for facilitating this.

Obviously this doesn't mean our problems are over, but hopefully this will bring some clarity. For our sake, I hope we frustrated customers handle this process reasonably: asking clear questions, focusing on the core issues, avoiding personal attacks and needless whining, etc.

No money will be charged for this forum as long as its sole purpose is support.

Mason/Mat,

On a 1-10 scale, how absurd is this?

Honestly, the lack of communication on locks behalf just leaves a dick feeling in my stomach as all players are in limbo then I received this email earlier today:

Hello,

Thank you for your reply, please note that player transfers and winnings derived from player transfers are not eligible for payouts. if you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.
All our best,

Steven

So apparently winnings can't be cashed out either?? WTF

Shane what have you heard in these meetings.. This is ludacris and a complete joke.. Site and it's employees should be embarrassed for themselves at this point..
Also, you both ignored my PM

exactly

they have effectively seized the money (and all future profits) from everyone's account who has ever received a transfer.

Can we include an explanation of the whole Girah thing in this please?

Because we're all still waiting and while I'm not sure how long a "we're suing so stfu"-card is valid for exactly, I'm pretty sure we're overdue for a few answers on that issue.

Unfortunately from the info i received, i think this new rep will have no power regarding all funds lock seized to us simply because we did some p2p.

He will tell us "You have to deal with security about it"

I would bet on this

So when is the 'May Promotions' sticky going to come down?

A Lock Poker Representative will be promoting the interest of Lock Poker.

Well thought out decision Mason.

I think this is the appropriate action at this time.

Thanks

I think this is a fair way forward. I really hope Lock takes this opportunity to come forward with credible and reasonable answers to the critical questions.

I suggest the most practical approach, to keep it manageable, would be to concentrate the questions in one thread. I suggest using this one I started yesterday ... http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/19...-lock-1327721/

Mason, if you feel there is a better place please let us know.

I think the cashout time is a huge problem too though. The Lock Rep. needs to tell us in plain english why ROW cashouts take so long when they insist that they hold all player balances IMO.

When you say that "a new rep will be posting" does that he mean he will replace Shane? Just making sure it is not "in addition to". It was not entirely clear that Shane is definitely no more as far as representing lock on 2+2.

Assuming that hs is gone though...Hooray!! And thank you so much for taking that step.
Lock should be thanking you as well...as he could not have represented their company any more unprofessionally if he tried.
05-03-2013 , 05:33 PM
a new rep doesnt change what said rep can or cannot say on behalf of the company.

u foos getting played. if any new info/change comes out its cuz the company realized they had to change what info they ok with sharing due to current predicaments.

that said tho, whatever gets this **** fixed. still amusing that pitchforks for the most part always aimed at the wrong target.

Don't worry. I'm sure we'll have I'mNotJustShaneNoHonestSrslyYouGuys with us shortly.

They don't own lock, they clearly took a step in the right direction by taking down banners and turning this into a support only forum. I am not sure what else you expect them to do?
05-03-2013 , 05:38 PM
My understanding was that a new representative would be assigned. At the end of the day, however, it's credible information you want. It probably doesn't matter too much who provides it?

1. Lock will voluntarily pull all banner ads and stop all promotions until the issues in question are resolved to our satisfaction.

2. The Lock Forum will stay open but will be operated in a support capacity with no emphasis on promotions.

3. A new Lock representative will come on here and give a more detailed explanation of how they currently see the issues and the steps they will be taking to get everything resolved.

4. This representative will take an active role in answering any questions that our posters may have.

Best wishes,
Mason
Thanks to Mason and Mat for taking action regarding this situation.

First, I want to say that they've done the right thing here. They took the banner ads down (most important), and they are leaving up the Lock forum so people can openly discuss the scamming/stealing going on there (also important). Finally, they have disallowed usage of the Lock forum to promote the site, and have converted it to a support forum, which is great. This is exactly what I would have done if I were in charge.

However, I am NOT optimistic about this "new representative", nor do I believe anything will get resolved.

Appointing a new Lock representative to take the heat for Lock's shadiness is like appointing a new White House spokesman when the President is doing a bad job. You're getting the same news from a different voice.

I believe that Shane lacks customer service skills, but none of that is the reason we aren't getting useful information from him. He gives us nothing useful because the powers above him (i.e. Jennifer Larson) won't let him say anything useful. And Jennifer won't let him say anything useful because Lock is actually broke, but are clearly afraid to admit it. Basically they send Shane out there to weakly explain their various coverup attempts with semi-plausible backstories, but all of those fall apart under scrutiny. Indeed, it's hard to pretend money exists where it actually doesn't.

Therefore, this "new" Lock rep (if it isn't just Shane under a new name) will likely be more polite and appear more willing to help, but it will add up to the same frustrating runaround and campaign for misinformation.

Those expecting the truth or an expediting of cashouts will be sorely disappointed.

It is possible that Lock will engage in a strategy of paying the loudest voices to give the false impression that everything is fine. This is known as a negative-check-off-system scam, where you rip off a large number of people, with the intent of making whole only those that vigorously complain. In such a scam, you still end up successfully ripping off mass numbers of people who either never complain or back off easily.

I just hope everyone has realistic expectations.

Is anyone really expecting credible information from anyone representing lock at this point?

I know I'm just here to watch how entertaining they'll make their lies.

Thank you Mat for this, did you had a chat about the financial situation at Lock?

I just saw this lol story from this morning:

http://www.gambling911.com/poker/loc...ud-050313.html

Looks like Lock might be finally coming up with a narrative, this has elements of what Shane was hinting at, but goes a bit further.
