Not sure if serious.

Sorry, but this promo already has insane value, best i've seen for a rake chase pretty much anywhere. If people are misinterpreting it to be giving even more value, it's their problem tbh.

Of course I'm serious. Are you not understanding my post or something? Not sure what your issue is at all. And not sure why you said "if people are misinterpreting it to be giving more value" right after the post where I said "makes it look like it has less value.".

Yes, it has insane value. And the way it was worded on the newsletter thing from the affiliate did not convey that and made it seem like it was way less....as well as different than what it was.

It is lock's problem also if an affiliate is misrepresenting them and wording things incorrectly. If I were in the position of overseeing the affiliates at lock I would want them to be accurate in their promotion of my product. Therefore I would also thank somebody who brings to my company's attention something like this.

It is exactly the same as an affiliate offering $36 paid to each client every time the pot reaches $100. If they misinterpret the meaning of 36% rakeback that badly that is pretty similar to what this affiliate did with their inaccurate understanding of ronin. It is on lock to make sure the affiliates represent their site correctly and accurately. So mistakes like this, when known, should be welcomed and appreciated.

Oops. my bad, i for some reason read that as "more value".

Thanks for pointing it out, can you let me know who the affiliate was (privately if that's better)? That way I can make sure someone from our affiliate team gets in touch with them and makes sure they properly understand it.

Thanks

Will there be any valid reload bonuses in August past the 4k for thefuture? Is locknload still valid for 75% up to $375?

As we mentioned earlier THEFUTURE will continue for August.

When that bonus ends we will definitely have regular reload bonuses, we dont believe on holding these back to increase demand we want to always encourage our players to deposit.

Oh yeah definately agree there, dealing with Reload bonuses the way Merge did is just bad, people want to deposit and feel like they're getting value from doing so, but people also want to deposit right there and then when they want to play, not when the site decides they should or when the site decides to give more value this time around (with a reload code)

Is Ronin structure/payouts going to be the same for August?
07-31-2012 , 06:19 PM
Sorry if this is posted somewhere else but is there a way to tell how much our ronin payment will be? The only thing I see in the admin is Ronin rakechase daily earnings and monthly earnings...is there a way to tell how much it will be based on my monthly earnings?

All info is here, really:

http://lockpoker.eu/promos/ronin/

If for example you pay $900 in rake total, you'll get $297.00 returned total from Ronin. $5,350 paid is $2,442.00 returned, etc.

What time does the August Ronin start/what time zone does lock go by?
07-31-2012 , 08:59 PM
I just passed my first Ronin level of august, be interesting to see if people in other timezones (all you US people out there) are still in July's Ronin.
07-31-2012 , 09:53 PM
Everyone is on the same clock.

0:00 GMT is the start of August promotions. 5pm Pacific or 8pm Eastern in the U.S. It would be nice if the clock would also show Lock time for this purpose.

First time i see this page: http://lockpoker.eu/promos/ronin/leaderboard/

Was this always there? Seems like the prizes will be truely limited this time around?
08-01-2012 , 06:44 AM
First time I see it too. I guess they will keep a leaderboard this time with limited prizes as I can see the first 2 levels are already covered.
08-01-2012 , 09:09 AM
The value of Ronin just went way down because of leaderboard. I'm glad Pokerstars and FTP2 are on cusp of coming back to USA.

If the bottom 2 levels of Ronin are locked out on the first day of month it just shows their limited prizes are too limited. Seriously the bottom levels are closing out quick and it is just a lame middle of the week day. Lock shows their inability to run things well again.

Someone confirm/correct my Ronin math please. I'm currently on a train and trying to do this in my head but...

If I were to get to Level 16 and put in a total of $2,350 rake taking me the whole month, but hit a goose egg on the other Ronin because they were locked out by being limited, I would only get $225 on $2,350 for about a 9.50% RB..."instead of the about what 40.00% RB???"

Ouch 9.50% RB instead of 40.00% RB because the prizes are limited.

Does this leaderboard apply only to rakeback players?
