<img in paid rake = 1 VIP? <img in paid rake = 1 VIP?

Didn't see a topic recently about this. Took a month off of playing online for school, then checked the Lock VIP section and saw that 700 VIP points gets you $10 now. Sweet! I was very, very confused when I saw that 1 VIP point = $1 rake paid, though... This is an incredible swing from where it used to be; 10 VIP points = $1 rake.

I'm thinking there's a very good chance this is a typo, as it'll be basically impossible for anyone who doesn't play a **** ton to get to say, Black VIP. $10,000 in rake in a month? Really?

So, please let me know, is this for real? I'll be cashing out promptly if so. The VIP system is a joke if this is really how point are handled now.

$1 = 1 point at cash tables, which are now on dealt method (from contributed).
$1 = 7 points at sngs + mtts.

I agree though, surprisingly this hasn't been seized on by more people -- they should scale down the numbers of the VIP levels to be in line with their new rewards. Sng players have to rake over 40% more to hit black vip now and that's with the reduced sng traffic at the new network.

Details of the VIP program have not been released yet. It has been stated that the value will NOT be going down, so there is no need to panic. It would obviously be nice to have more information, but I think they are busy putting out fires.

i have asked this information by many ways, including a private PM to lock rep here but never get any answer.

Yes, indeed, the old VIP system level is not right (making sense) for the new rake system...

This is encouraging. Do you have a source for it? I'm not sure why they'd change the wording on the site in the first place, but I guess the network switch would cause some weird things to happen with point allocation.
