If you can't learn this god help you learning anything else.
Tons of books and other resources available. SQL and DB Admin is not that tough.
Starting salaries are good. If you are proficient you can be making over $100k after you get experience.
We hire ******s that make $75-80K whose job I could master in a couple weeks. Seriously it's not that tough.

Network Admin - is the easiest to start with...
DBA - you will need some experience... this is a good job because a lot of small/medium companies have only 1 (or maybe two) DBA while they may have dozens of developers and designers. So you automatically become an important person. Also, once you have everything setup you can relax and do only support while playing poker at free time.
Web designer - you will need to build a portfolio... well, it's more creative type of work.. more options to find freelance work in the future
