I use a web-based CRM and I swear that LinkedIN is somehow getting the information on the people I am emailing and putting them in my "People you may know" section.

I have thought something like this was happening for a while now, and finally yesterday they suggested someone I had just emailed, who is a 3rd degree connection and it is a very weak 3rd connection at that, and considering I have a lot of connections and like 17 million 3rd connections or something, it would make absolutely no sense for it to come up randomly.

Create a fake person and only mail it through the CRM...see if LinkedIN will pick it up.

I think that wouldn't work though because that fake person wouldnt have a LinkedIN profile for it to suggest.

Ha! Its a copy of the first game I ever wrote while at high school. Back then it was written in BASIC. Needs a bit of tweaking tho, the collision detection is a little bit funky sometimes.

Anyone into Rogulikes? Been playing DCSS for a while now and getting really into it. Its ***** hard, but really good fun. Such a complex game.

http://crawl.develz.org/wordpress/

Edit: Also, its dev community is super active. Version .10 was released a few weeks ago, and the development version is updated several times a day.

This is mine: http://js1k.com/2012-love/demo/1224

Interesting timing. I'm re-learning a bit of Prolog on the side (had 3 AI classes at university that were in Prolog) and stumbled upon this which I thought was pretty neat. I've worked through most of the Prolog chapter in 7 Languages in 7 days and will do that next (basically learn Prolog by writing a cave adventure game):
http://www.amzi.com/AdventureInProlog/a1start.php

Later I want to interface GNU- or SWI-Prolog with Ruby, I know you can interface Prolog stuff with Java,C and C++ but haven't researched it. If anyone has done this let me know. My very basic idea is to create the prolog code by parsing stuff and putting it in a textfile then backtick call the prolog interpreter on said file to get a result

Not that we should talk much more about this.

Yeah, please no more talk of this. 2+2 doesn't allow any discussion about torrents (even if it's for legit uses or just taking about torrent clients, etc).

Ah yes.

So I had a first in my career Monday....two of the drives in a RAID 5 array on one of our most critical database servers failed basically simultaneously.

Good times.

Also, Mozy sucks ass, please do not use them if you like backup software that works like it should and/or if you want a company that tries to help you get to data quickly.

Interested in knowing this too.

The real ****ter of it all is I just happen to have this insane bad luck right before moving to a cloud option where it will be much easier to avoid/recover from these types of situations.

Grrrrr.

There are a lot of options, but I don't know of a higher quality service in that price range. If you are willing to go more expensive there are, but I guess that is like everything.

Poking around at the source shows this, which I assume is just basic framework code for the contest.

Code:
var b = document.body;
var c = document.getElementsByTagName('canvas')[0];
var a = c.getContext('2d');
document.body.clientWidth; // fix bug in webkit: http://qfox.nl/weblog/218

Sorry, completely missed that post gaming_mouse.

Each javascript app is run in an 'HTML shim'. Basically a sandbox. You are provided with 3 variables: a->the 2d context of the canvas, b-> the document body and c->the actual canvas element.
