I want to build a small webbased knowledge base of my techbooks and for that I want to store some ebooks and access them from a website (which I'll create ldo). I'm not uptodate on noSQL at all outside of object databases (i.e. ZODB) but it seems like a document store like CouchDB would make sense in that regard.
Think of it as a webbased calibre-many features with some extra options (and yes I'm aware that calibre can serve stuff I just want to build something like this as DIY project)
First step would be to simply list all books and if you click on the title it'll show the HTMLized version but eventually I want to be able to use the metadata as well.
Ideally I want fulltext search of all ebooks, I think I can get that by "just" plugging in Lucene (seems like there is a couchdb-lucene on github) or Xapian
Any insight/different technology/middleware suggestions welcome
