Is it possible to write a program that will take a hand history (e.g. pokerstars) and generate a piosolver script from it other than the preflop ranges?
For example, the program would pull the pot size, board, effective stack and betting sizes and then perhaps add some additional betting sizes to make the sim more robust?
If you're asking whether it's possible to extract pot size, board, effective stack and betting sizes from a hand history, yeah, obviously. If it's also possible to make a PIO script given those values (I have no idea what you can do with PIO) then yeah, it's possible

Thanks. pio scripts are just text in csv in a particular format. Is there an existing program that extracts the data from handhistories or would I need a programmer to do that?

What format are the hand histories exportable from Pokerstars? Is it just free text? Xml?
