Hello;

(Mods; if I have posted this in the wrong place, my apologies....please move as needed....TY)

About 15 years ago, I developed an idea for a new type of video poker game. To make a very long story sort,
-invested lots of time/$
-developed Beta SW
-couldn't get patent approved (don't get me started)

Anyway, I thought it might be possible to turn it into a phone App for same for 2-3$.

Here is what I can tell you: (I am an EE, *NOT* a SW programmer)

> I see Visual Studio project files, but I also see straight makefiles so it could have started as a visual studio project and migrated to a mingw build... or may be a combo of both.
> In Summary:
> You have a windows poker application -
> It is written in C++ using Visual Studio.
> Depends on poker-eval-125.0 package , (for waht it's worth - I am not sure if the original package source was modified for your game, assuming not)
> The graphics are GLUT32 based.
> Looks like some dependencies on mingw.

If anyone is interested in discussing the possibilities of turning this into an App, please PM me. I am an hour north of Boston; The closer the better.
Please include contact info outside of 2+2.

Thanks!

I know it's already a few month old and you probably have moved on, but porting a C++ game to a mobile app language (that is java and/or swift) is nowhere near easy, imply rewriting from scratch large parts (e.g. display), and the game market being what it is, there are quite some chances the money to be quite bad.

As a SW engineer you learn that code becomes often obsolete and that sadly throwing away software happens quite often. If you really think the project deserve some interest and have sentimental value you could open source it, but be warned, even then you may not have all that much success.

Yeah, that sounds like awful times ahead for the developer.
