Has anyone modified any of the common evaluators for 6-plus holdem?

I don't know what 6-plus holdem is, but from the name I assume it's just holdem played with cards 6 and over, no 2-5.

He's asking if anyone has modified an existing evaluator, like pokerstove or pokereval, to work with this game. I don't know the answer to that. I have an evaluator that could easily be modified to do this, but it's ancient and creaky, I'm not sure if I can even build it today, I haven't worked on it in nearly 7 years.

6+ holdem is a game in which the deck contains only cards with rank 6 or higher, it's played with 2 hole cards. hand ranking is also different, I think a set beats a straight and flush beats full house since the probabilities are different.

Have you had success creating one? Or is this still an open topic?

Yeh i would really like to know ifan evaluator has been built for short deck poker to. I'm doing quite well at it seeming as it has a lot of new players, but as I get experienced; so do they. So need a bit more than experience to help me along.

I did read an interesting article about JTs having roughly the same equity pre-flop as AKo, may have been AKs as well. Due to the fact with JT you are almost always going to hit a pair, open ender or at least a gut shot. It's almost impossible to miss the flop and with flushes basically being the nuts due to it having a higher hand ranking than a full house; the suited part comes in handy.

I’m new to 6plus. How many cards needed for a straight? In one game a player beat my hand with a 4 card straight. On the same table but in another hand I had 4 cards that made a straight but lost to a pair. The app called my hand for a pair.

You need 5 cards for a straight.
