Re: The Time machine - who do you want to meet?

I actually thought a lot about this. I would probably meet Howard Hughes, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Walt Disney. I'll go with Walt Disney

The person (or persons) who first brewed Beer. This has an advantage that beer was most probability discovered/brewed independently by a number of different people in different locations.

JFK...want to go back and save his life. I believe our world would be very different today if he was not assassinated.

1.) As a proud German I would love to meet Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg in the past and help him to assassinate Hitler succesfully
2.) Carolus Magnus, basically founder of todays Europe. Must´ve had an amazing personality
3.) Jesus, would love to know whether Dan Brown was right about his liaison with Maria Magdalena or not.

Now there's a final table! Blackbeard might be 3-betting Christ a little light, I reckon!

I'd hope you'd go with someone a bit quicker on the trigger than Stauffenberg. While he was dedicated to going through with the plan once execution began (he was all-in so falling back was not an option anyway), he was part of a group that dithered for too long. I'd probably prefer to go meet Hindenburg in '32-33 instead or a group of General Staff officers in the '33-39 period if this is really your goal. By '44 the damage to Germany and the world was already wrought.

Re: The Time machine - who do you want to meet?

Oscar Wilde, Genghis Khan, Vincent van Gogh, Abraham Lincoln.

The others I'd like to meet would probably just kill me, so I wouldn't take my chances. On the other hand, good old Genghis might just kill me, too, but oh well.

Wonder what face Lincoln'd make if he found out there's a black president.

Napoleon, Socrates, Sigmund Frued, Beethoven, Billy the Kid, Joan of Arc, Genghis Kahn, and Abraham Lincoln. Getting the behind the scenes stories from the filming of Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure would be amazing. Wyld Stallions!

Re: The Time machine - who do you want to meet?

Generally any prominent historical figure that has a mysterious element is someone i would like to meet. Really hard to pin-point when there are sooo many interesting people throughout time. Been mentioned before but Shakespeare would definitely be interesting i've read a lot about the debate of his identity. Would have liked to have a night out on the town with Giacomo Casanova in his prime. Would have liked to interview, perhaps behind glass (not sure if he was dangerous), the Marquis de Sade.. he was a really sick ****er. Would like to know the identity of Jack the Ripper (def. not want to meet him though). I'd like to meet every single one of my ancestors although it might get repetitive, i'm from iceland and my ancestors are basically icelandic pretty much all the way back until norwegian refugees settled in the 9th century, but still would like to meet the people i descend from and what kind of human beings they were.

I'll probably update when i stumble accross anyone worth mentioning that hasn't been mentioned before, pretty interesting to meet anybody from the past to be honest
