So were including Iceland because it partially sits on the North American tectonic plate, but we're not excluding much of the Caribbean and Central America even though that area is on it's own plate? Have I got that right?

And while we're at it, just where is that Europe/Asia plate border?

Harry Turtledove wrote a series of novels based on the premise that the South won the Civil War. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Victory_Series

The South ends up allied with England and France (which recognized the Confederacy after their victory at Gettysburg and capture of Philadelphia) and the North ends up allied with Germany.

The USA and the CSA end up fighting several wars, including World War I (Trench warfare around Louisville).

I read the first several books in the series but then bogged down and didn't read the 'World War II' books

Little did I know my post would be nitpicked regarding the definition of "North America." Points well taken all around.

Cuba is an extremely interesting place (I've been there a few times) and I would not have ignored how it played into the fictional history were I to have written the books, but since apparently it's been done already, I think I'll just stick to poker.

I read the wiki article. I found the last sentence "the US threatened to atomic bomb Saskatoon" to be pretty funny.
