I don't think this has been brought up previously, but I am surprised you haven't mentioned your hand with Cantu (i think) deep in the ME a couple years back... i think he check-raised all in on the turn with the nut flush draw and of course he hit.
Would you mind going through the hand again? If you hold there, do you (obv) go on to take down the ME?
My apologies in advance if this has already been addressed.
Hasn't been talked about, I would love to relive that moment
At this point in the tournament, there are like 75 left. I have about 2x average stack, maybe 65bbs or something. Cantu opens the cutoff, and I flat the button with KJs (obv can reraise, but I wanted to play pots with him in position), blinds fold. Flop comes down Ts9c8c. He bets like 3/4 pot, I call. Turn is a 7c. He checks it, I bet 2/3 pot. He goes all in pretty fast. I say **** it, I can't really bet fold, I call. He has A9 with Ac. I say no club, river comes club, and I am out and he is chip leader. Not a whole lot to the hand really, played itself from my perspective. I fully expect that with the chip lead and 70 left, I would have been able to do some pretty big things in that tourney, but oh well.
