Going anywhere in the world with a non poker mate for a couple weeks in November. Purpose is basically just to have fun.. party and see some cool **** etc.. Nice weather would be a bonus but doesn't necessarily have to be beach-y. Any recommendations? I did a quick search and couldn't find any cool festivals or anything like that anywhere for November.

southern europe is still fine during november. very comfortable weather. barcelona (I'm here now) is a fantastic city. valencia too, and easy to get from one place to another. a lot of places in italy have been mentioned already. you also have southern france, with nice, monaco etc ofc which still has good weather in nov. monaco and nice are both definitely worth a visit, but also expensive (as a lot of places in europe).

kinda depends what kind of weather you're looking for. south america starts getting a lot better from october and out (argentina, brazil, etc). lots of great places to go down there for a month or so if thats the amount of time you want to spend. afaik rain season ends in asia around late october/early november, so thats an option too of course, but that'd be more of a umm i dno, asia trips is kind of going to beaches, backpacking and stuff i guess, whereas europe is walk around in wonderful cities, mountain areas (if you want that, check out northern france/italy/switzerland etc, but weather is getting kinda cold in nov that far north; again, depends what kind of weather you want.

if i were you, at that time of year, id probably go to south america. brazil is fantastic. peru, with machu picchu is obv something you should see before you die. nature between argentina and chile is also very nice. I'm in buenos aires from late august in case you end up going down there! i also have some friends in rio that would be glad to show you around. we met up with them in february when we went there for the carnival, after a friend of one of my friends told him they'd be glad to show us around. they're like the nicest people ever down there. one of them is probably the nicest guy I've ever met and really went out of his way to show us around and make sure we were good until the last minute.

edit: creamfields (huge electronic festival) is in buenos aires on nov 10th. I'm def going this year. above & beyond and a few other huge djs played last year and i really regretted not going

Garage or waterpark, I would hate for those poor animals to die of not being fed enough so zoo is out of the question

How many cars do you have? Why would you get a new garage if you only have 1-2 cars?

Seems like the good thing to do in Vegas is get a beach volleyball court, basketball court, bigger pool, etc or something like that.

Yea guys, this may not be the full vindication everybody deserves for the UB scandal, but getting this documentary out there into the public brings to light a lot of the shadiness that went on and has been pretty much forgotten. Really important that this gets funded

Absolutely. Donation done.

Tough to even watch, hard to stomach.

Hey anyone playing open faced Chinese poker can help with a question?

Once you have placed a card, does it have to stay in that hand forever?

For example lets say your hand looks like this ATM:

A 2

7 7 8

8 9 T J Q

If you draw a K, can you then put that into your last hand and move the 8 into your middle hand?

Yes.

Here is a good primer for rules etc.

Yea, that's where I was reading about it, but it didn't really seem to make it clear. Just said you have to play in turn, wasn't sure if you could swap. Thanks Clayton.

it's a fundamental rule of the game, since fouling your hand kills it and gets you scooped. if you could move cards around it'd be much harder (impossible?) to foul a hand.
