I am posting this here because this forum gets a lot of traffic and I feel that while maybe only a few qualified candidates will stumble upon it, many more might be referred to it by others who can express what an opportunity this presents, and a greater proportion of the candidates will have the amount of poker knowledge that is necessary for this position.

I am looking for a live-in assistant who would perform standard duties such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, random errands, booking reservations etc. for me + 2 other roommates. This probably constitutes like 20 hours of pretty easy work per week. The payment would be room and poker lessons from me.

I live in a 7bath, 5bed 6k sq. ft. condo in the Harbor Towers in Boston. It's also equipped w/ an office, 3 terraces, grand piano, massage chair, a couple bar areas, a sauna, and a hot tub time machine. This location is on the Boston harbor waterfront near the Aquarium and across the street from the financial district and faneuil hall, a short walk from the north end and chinatown, and so on.

I am most likely going to London in September until around Oct. 5 and would like this assistantship to commence upon my return.

WHO I AM:
I am a 24 year-old primarily online high stakes NL professional. My friends would probably describe me as a little shy and reserved at first, fun and easy to get along with once you get to know me, and one of the top few American no limit hold them players. Those who do not know me very well may think I am a bit obnoxious because of my persona at the poker tables, but the way I portray myself at an internet poker table or on the internet in general is not a good representation of me.

WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR:
One female in her 20s who is intelligent, attractive, reasonable at cooking, and knows a little about poker. By intelligent I mean good at learning **** like poker and good at communicating with others. By attractive i mean a 6-8 on my scale- whatever that means- basically I don't want looks to be a distraction for me on either end of the spectrum. By reasonable at cooking I mean able to prepare a decent variety of meals with all of them being edible and healthy. By knows a little about poker, I mean able to beat ~$5 turbo SNGs online. Yes, I realize that is actually somewhat restrictive, but come on, I am not looking for total nubs. This offer is of course open, and should generally be even more attractive, to more accomplished players.

I think this should seem like a sweet opportunity to those who are qualified, able, and up for a new experience.

i think he is hoping she will be a poker player with some type of poker roll/income to work with, but yeah not offering any spending money amongst other things seems weird.

I can vouch for nutsinho. I was feeling a bit lonely this one time and he held me all night long. He kept me warm and he didn't even feel me up or anything (I was erect the entire time).

My thoughts are that most applicants will tend to have a little money of their own to begin with. I mean, what do they even need money for? A little shopping here and there? The general idea is that my coaching will yield a not marginal profit within just a couple of months so I don't think it is weird at all not to offer payment beyond 2k+ a month in rental equity plus having food around and whatnot...

Also I think the girlfriend comments were somewhat facetious and I don't want to discuss all of my motivations for this but I am definitely not looking for a girlfriend. Lately I have been feeling more the cat and mouse type where most of the fun is in the chase and when someone actually likes me a lot the excitement is over.

I think you might get more helpful information if you posted what you wanted from this experience and had HSNL members give you some feedback. I think many have had experiences with PA's and students ranging from great to horrible.

What are you looking to do/accomplish from this experience?

- Get laid?
- Learn social skills with the opposite sex?
- Have a deep meaningful relationship with this women?
- Teach someone about poker?
- Companionship with the opposite sex?

I might be out of line, and you might have a great idea of what you are looking for, but I see many things that are recipes for trouble. For one living with someone, especially a PA can cause lots of unforeseen problems. Whats your plan for delineating between times that are work and her time off? What hours do you expect her to keep? What hours are you going to give her in terms of poker teachings? What happens if you guys sleep together and you don't like her anymore? Do you kick her out?

Whats your plan when you are not at home? Will she have a key? How will you make sure you and your home is safe? What if she doesn't take good enough care of the house?

I feel like my post may be coming off in the wrong way, but this just seems like a terrible idea to me and something you may not have fully thought through. If you are just looking for someone to cook and clean for you, you would be way better off looking checking craigslist and paying someone $15 an hour. I would even recommend getting a male assistant so lines never get blurred.

If you are looking to sleep with as many women as you can then there are much better ways to go about it. I know many guys in this forum, which that is their main goal. If thats your goal as well then you should talk about it with some of them and start a new thread, but trying to find that in an assistant is a bad idea.

If your goal is improving social skills with the opposite sex or for companionship, then I would spend more time with your buddies and join other social groups. There are tons of great social situations that come up which can never be created artificially. I would also recommend joining groups which center around things you like to do to broaden your social circles. Think what you enjoy, some ideas off the top of my head are wine/beer, sailing, working out, cooking, hiking/backbacking etc. The list goes on and on.

Finally if you are really looking to teach someone some poker, then there are much much better ways to go about it, which I am sure you can come up with on your own.

I think this is something you should really examine. I think this happens to many people and for most is a pretty unhealthily thing and could lead to alot of unhappiness in your life.

Don't get me wrong, this ad is great, but maybe it could be improved a little bit if you listed some of your favorite songs or books or movies so that potential personal assistants could better judge their compatibility to you. Perhaps even a brief anecdote to help better describe yourself.
