Fastest way to obtain utility bill in your name. Fastest way to obtain utility bill in your name.

Im considering the move to either Canada or Mexico for short term.

Mexico may be ideal because as far as I can tell, sites/processors
dont require any sort of SS/SID #.

Best case scenario, I rent a furnished place month to month, and they
require I put the utilities in my name.

Anyone have experience in this dept? Anyone anticipate the sites/
processors requesting this information every so often? After all, it
should be obvious to them we can only get 6 month visas and have
to move somewhere else.

Mexico is harder to get a bank account afaik. Also language barrier.

I'm thinking something that gives you online access. Could be anything a bank account a cellphone whatever. Then take a screen shot of your name and address from their online statement and try to use that.

Or signup for something and tell them you need proof of address to setup a bank account and see if they can issue you something immediately or quickly, possibly just a letter with your name/address/account number signed by a manager or something.

Or ya, photoshop.....

if you photoshop, print the result and then scan it again

Bump, figured better then making new thread

Looking to reopen my PS account, need utility bill in addition to bank account statement. I wouldn't really use a cell up here except maybe a data plan (I use Skype to call home etc), already have place w/ utilities so looking for something practical but quick.

Thanks in advance.

You don't need a utility bill fyi. Take this from someone experienced in the relocation process having had my residence changed twice post black friday.

I need to get a utility bill (where I receive it today/tmrw, not end of month) in my name with address on it. What's the cheapest/fastest option? I'm in Vancouver.

Thanks

Well you can't make up a utility bill you either have it or you don't. I would get a cell phone with your name and address should be fine for PS. Otherwise get a Rogers rocket stick for internet and cancel after 1 month.

Buying a cellphone counts as a utility bill? Buying a stick counts as a utility bill? I don't even care what I get...I just need something that is a theoretical 'utility bill' in which i could get the bill within a couple days and would be ok'd by stars.

I've been trying to get setup on stars for a few days. Have a 1 month lease agreement, utility bills in landlords name, bank statement, but it's not enough.

Stars doesn't require a utility bill if you ask them for an alternative way of verifying your account, they will just require you show a lease, bank account info (with address info on it), and have a land line that they can call you on. Email stars again and ask them if there is anything you can give in lieu of a utility bill and they will tell you the same thing.

I've asked them a bunch of times alternatives I can send in lieu of utility bill in my name. They said I could send lease agreement but it had to be 3 month min (though they didn't specify 3 month min before I booked the place).

In total, I can/have sent them 4-5 recent utility bills in landlords name with address, approved bank statement in my name with address, 1 month lease agreement with my/landlords name and address, photo ID, landline phone #.

It's bizarre because before I got the lease they emailed me

"If you do not have any utility bills in your name, you may send us a recent bank or credit card statement in your name. If you have neither of these available, we may consider accepting an utility bill in your landlord's or parents' names. If this option is pursued, any document must be recent and display your current address." I sent this.

And in other emails, they reiterated I needed a utility bill in my name or a lease agreement (no monthly min specified). I sent them utility bill in leasers name and 1 month lease agreement, and it wasn't enough.

It should be obvious that I'm living in Canada with everything I could send them, but they've reiterated a bunch of times they're not flexible in their demands for utility bill or 3 month min lease agreement.
