i dont understand, why is the world cup in jberg to begin with, seems completely impractical? fifa doesnt give a **** about practicality?

the world? like its not near anything, its in africa, i cant imagine there are that many flights in or out, its in africa, i imagine every flight to there is insanely long with tons of layovers because of where SA is, pirates, its in africa.

idk the world seems to agree 650k tickets not sold for the first time in history, not only is it not sold out its by a pretty decent margin I think the article said there are ~3M tickets in totality

like even if its not true I think if you goto SA its mostly as an adventure and people dont give a **** about adventure they want to see FOOTBALL

Football in africa is huge, they can't afford flights at all, layovers? dude...

Not to say this is great for their economy and hopefully also for the view of the country for the people that do attend.

well AFRICA is a pretty big place and is near a few things like EUROPE, however south africa, and don't quote me on this bc im not a geography expert, is all the way at the bottom, all the way away from most everything
