RHCP live is unreal. Frusciante and Flea have to be the most talented guitar/bass duo of our generation (in a technical aspect, possibly ever).
If you love RHCP you should watch this.

I believe the entire concert film is available free online. Check google video I guess.

More recently, I think that Sigur Ros has had that "time stops" effect on me. I suspect that I'll get laughed at for posting these songs until other people who've heard of the band confirm that the are possibly the best sounding/most uniquely amazing band around. They're also getting/have been very popular in north america.

Although I did kind of have a similar reaction to Knife's Silent Shout. Both the song and the album.

you guys need to go to holland for their 40K people events like Trance Energy with tiesto, armin van buuren, paul oakenfold, above & beyond or If you like harder electronic music go to a Q-dance party with hardstyle & hardcore music, its hard to describe the feeling of standing there but its pretty awesome.

examples:

Trance

Trance Energy 2008 - Tiesto Intro

Hardstyle

Defqon1 aftermovie
Qlimax 2007 - Brennan Heart

the guys who arrange the trance/house parties are ID&T and the hardstyle parties are arranged by q-dance , so just google those if you are interested in going to amsterdam and having some fun except smoking it up in the coffeshops

I have been to all of these several times, very very sick

40k telecast was very entertaining. the hu portion was a lot of fun to watch too, best part was obv KT vs AA all-in on K53-6:

ike & co: "one time!"

lunkin's crew: "no one time!"

ike spikes a ten on the river.

norman chad: "take that, you commies!"
07-28-2009 , 10:09 PM
Yeah, Norman was on fire. enjoyed watching it

i don't know if it's still up, but there used to be a sick cormega fan page which was two forums: one for sneaker discussion and the other for discussing Cormega's music. Cormega was the host of the site and posted at an El Diablo-like pace. i'm lazy but worth googling.

and i didn't really like that Saga remix, thought it was too emo and didn't have the grit that really makes The Saga

btw, i'd put money on Cormega writing a ton of Illmatic because the flow is so Cormega-esque and after Cormega and Nas stopped being close post-Illmatic Nas' flow got a lot worse

Damn I was chilling alone in a hotel room with the TV off and forgot the 40k was on

NYCballer: You may not like the beatles but to say that people like them because they think it's cool to like them is absurd.

Not a big cormega fan but I am generally not a fan of that style of rapper, so fair enough.

Considering he had stopped breathing and struggling, and he was showing no signs of letting him up until about 15 seconds or w/e later when his arm fell of or w/e, I disagree with your opinion that they were just trying to scare him. I certainly THOUGHT that's what they were going to do, but it seemed pretty apparent to me they just weren't going to let him up. Maybe I will pull it up on my Roku player to check the scene again, but there was a fair amount of other stuff, too, that was just the most egregious to me.
