i have a bunch of stakes as well (thought 20 is pretty sick)...how are u dealing with potential sponsorship proceeds, and what general deal did you give them? 15-25/85-75 in your favor i presume? PM or IM me if you don't want to discuss on here. gluckkkkkk,

I'm not sure what you mean by 15-25/85-75.

I let them have 100% of what they can make in sponsors.

he means a range of percentages ie. between 15/85 and 25/75 split on winnings
07-03-2009 , 12:23 AM
oh. Well actually I pretty much have everything between 5% to 80% of some players.

Usually never the same deal either. Case by case pretty much with different factors.

On average, I have 30-40% of the 19 players. (just lost a close friend/player who decided to leave vegas)

I also realized that it's pretty stupid to get anyone over 50% for a monster variance event like the ME. I dont care too much about winning 1.5M instead of 3 when they final table, but I do kind of care about losing 3-4k more everytime they dont cash. The variance will just be incredible, even if I guess it's +ev to take as much as possible on winning players... I believe it is a mistake and I will not take such high % again.

Mr. Fwf,

Here is what I got.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834152112

I took reccommendation of another 2p2'er. I ordered it Saturday and it came on Tuesday. Its a well reviewed laptop and only one complaint so far....the keyboard is a little wierd. The shift key and the backspace key are a little small so it kind of messes me up when I am typing. Monitor quality and size is good and it has not dissapointed me so far. Its a pretty well reviewed computer. GL with whatever you decide on.

ah ic, so you didn't outright stake guys in general , you just took pieces of a bunch of people with perhaps a few exceptions...agreed this is in general stupid and insanely high variance but i can't make it there this year so gambooollllll...

doing it wrong. You both need to get high and have a lifelong chat about each hand. Questions, answers, and theories. You could probably discuss TT on a 237 rainbow flop for an hour

Not sure at moment but my guess would be yes (most new computers seem to have a good enough graphics card). I'll try to get back to you if I can find out for sure.

FWF:

If money is no object, I'd buy the Dell Precision M6400 Covet (it's badass orange colored) and a E-Port Plus Replicator. The replicator will let you run _2_ 30" screens off the laptop.

I'm not sure how the size compares to the XPS 'monsters', so that might be something to look at, but this is probably the baddest ass, most flexible laptop you can buy for 'professional' purposes.

"The machine weighs 8.5lbs. So its really a mobile workstation and not a laptop. Thus the machine is not suitable for someone who carries their computer all the time, and is probably not a good choice for women (at least my wife wouldn't tolerate it). The weight is made worse by the heaviest powersupply I have ever seen (at least 3lbs)."

Are you calling him a woman? :P

17" XPS laptops start at 10.6 lbs, so you're saving 2 pounds off that.

07-03-2009 , 01:22 PM
yeah, dih, if he's restricting his search to only 17" screen laptops, he's going to have a hard time going "light" as well.

anyone have this problem:
log into moneybookers using the internet. no problems whatsoever with password.

go to deposit a number in FT, anywhere from $50 to $5000. when the prompt comes up to enter details, i say 'i already have a moneybookers account'. area to enter details is on the right. i type in my username / password / turing number. 'password is incorrect'. ok guess i just mistyped. rinse repeat 10 times, obviously typing the password in correctly, same error every time.

what gives?
