How else do you propose these busto grinders label themselves as? If a HB 8 asks you what you do, you do not say the words bum, fish, hunting, grinding, busto, or cent. Maybe just mention one time you play cards and exaggerate your skill and assets instead of saying PPP. There's also incentive for $50k/y's to boost there perceived status from average to special/different when there's no real boost in saying you are a PPP when you play high stakes.

nycballer is usually a v v good troll, though.

Ironically, I'm sometimes embarrassed to call myself a professional poker player because of some high stakes players.

Also, I hear that you can also get attention by cutting yourself.

i actually agree with nycballer, and i think this is a problem in more then just poker.

i would suggest that we come up with a new term to describe ER doctors so the private practice high end surgeons don't feel demeaned.

and all those stupid public university professors have got to stop pretending they're "teachers" when everyone knows the real teachers are at places like USC and harvard.

come on society lets get cracking on this problem.

And I know I am busto and my life sucks and I don't drive an ugly orange fast car and everything, but nycballer fails really hard at coming across as a badass and just comes across as an enormous blowhard whiny douche instead. Someone please validate him with some attention ASAP so he doesn't have to resort to driving his car into Harlem and blowing his bank statement up and making it into a sandwich board.

unless my friends (18-25 range mostly) who actually know about me making my way via cards are lying to me just to be nice, the average person definitely thinks what we do is F'ing awesome and is always at least envious
