This is a little unfair. Harrah's has never turned anyone away from the main event (in fact, I'm pretty sure they had a stated policy in the past that they absolutely would not turn anyone away). Even if they could have avoided being the ones shut out, people have a right to be surprised and disappointed that things worked out the way they did. I'd be pretty frustrated if I was one of the guys frozen out.

For those complaining, what is your excuse for waiting til an hour before the tourney to register?

It had never sold out before and there was little indication until the last minute that it would this year? There was a pretty good chance that if it did Harrah's would come up with some way to accommodate the overflow? They have had alternates in the past.

I registered a few days in advance and played day1a but I think the "you snooze you lose" crowd is laying it on pretty thick here.

Turning anyone away from the main event is a travesty IMO. I think someone really dropped the ball this year, planning wise.

I know stars support is supposed to be good but this is just loltastic.
I almost busted my roll on 25/50 yesterday and was trying to redeposit until I realized I had a daily limit of 3k, I emailed support and they told me I should exhaust my limits before they can look into it.
So i deposited 3k, bringin my bankroll to almost 1,5 stacks and emailed again. I got this response:

Due to your relatively short deposit history and the fact that you still
have a large balance on your account, we regret that we will be unable to
increase your deposit limits for NETeller at this time.

Please contact us once your current balance is exhausted and we will

I mean srsly, ofc I deposited recently because they said they wouldnt review the case otherwise and for ****s sake, 7k is not a large balance.

So, in a tournament, if a top player is CONSTANTLY hammering your BB from EP and trying to play every pot with you in position is mentioning the fact that you know they are usually +EV for you? Or are you better off just not saying anything? I had this happen yesterday, although he was playing like 60/45 anyways and was down over 10k in chips playing hands with me. Ofc I did the standard defenses pokerwise, just wondering if mentioning you know what they are doing might usually give them pause or make them attack more.


Oh, and in before "HAHA YOU WERE TABLE FISH", but yeah, my table sucked hardcore. 2nd year in a row. 1 recreational player at the whole table, and he was an ok player. I didn't steal the blinds once in 9 hours, and certainly not for lack of trying. Oh how I long for the mush tables I played at in the 2007 WSOPME.....

I was playing in a tournament today at the venetian and overheard a gentlemen in conversation talking about playing the main event on Day1D. He proceeded to say he was in seat 6 and LarsLusak was in seat 5. then he proceeded to brag about how he could see LarsLusaks' hole cards (always 1, sometimes 2) the entire tournament.

he claimed it helped him one hand. he described that he held KK and saw that Lars also had a K. he said that this gave him confidence to put his stack in the middle vs. Lars. Lars flipped up AK and nailed an ace.

i guess that's karma for this dude being scummy and not telling Lars to cover his hand. someone should probably tell Lars to cover his hand better tho for the future.
