You mean the Giggy who didn't make it to level 3 of Day 1?

Real story?

Richey Heads Home

Brett Richey moved all in for his last 4,500 from the cutoff and the big blind asked for a count before deciding on his action. After about 15 seconds, he called.

Richey showed {A-?}{4-?} and his opponent took his time before flipping over his {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}. The board went Richey's way through the turn as the cards fell {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}, but the river changed course, bringing the {K-Spades} and giving Richey's opponent the nut flush.

So day 1d has reached it's cap of 2700 and I'm sitting here waiting to see if more sears open up. I'm going to kill anyone that tries inviting me to a club next time.

I thought they only did that with players of other countries or whatever?
No. They don't withhold anything if you're an american.

in response to my earlier post about calling people out face to face:

- ashman: i understand sometimes keeping quiet is the best way to get a debt repaid and was definitely not speaking to the specifics of your situation. but it does seem like everyone whos ever been scammed thought that keeping quiet would be the best way to resolve it.
- ff: not creating a scene is the number one reason not to get in people's faces. however, if you can keep a level head, are good at arguing, and truly are fighting the good fight, i think you can come out of these things looking quite good.
- all: annie duke was sitting outside the rio yesterday and i told her that she needed to release the list. "what list?", she said smiling thinking i was probably asking for her autograph. the list of superusers you promised to release. smile vanishes. "what do you think i run the company or something?". you sure are wearing a lot of their patches. "yes, i am". i urge everyone to follow suit. if shes getting this 10, 20, 50 times a day, shes going to lose her mind.

Showed up at 11AM to reg for 1d, and they had apparently closed it several hours earlier (unless you were a diamond/7star obv). Waited around until 1230 or so until they finally told us that we were out of luck. FML.

They closed it at 2700 instead of the 3000 listed on WSOP site, refused to go to 10 handed tables, and showed no effort to seat the ~200 of us who were waiting around trying to register. Harrahs can eat a bag of dicks imo.

I'd go back to the rio
good chance they work it out somehow.
Acordding to Dr. Pauly and some others they might run a day "1e" starting at 3pm, playing 4 and levels and merging with 1a and 1b

edit: saw snakekilla already posted it, i rec'd it to him...absolutely love it.
i bought this a week ago on people's recommendation and i like it. i'd never heard of MSI before, but it seems to be like a niche company for gaming.

i thought alternates were standard?

as in.. say 300 of you stand around at the rail and get called over once someone busts?

Keeping quiet is always the best way, but you deal with your business.
Give me 25% of what he owes (as long as it is a substantial amount) and i will make sure the debt is collected

I would have thought so too, but the only alternates they were taking were in case someone had to like emergency unregister for medical reasons or something.

Ya DJ and I were both in the same boat. At 12:30 they has us wait around for 2 hours until that pussy Pollack told us he had an announcement, which was basically "hey you guys, **** off". I mean I'm coming from Scottsdale so life goes on, but if I were one of the many, many Europeans that didn't get to play, I would flip out. As it is, pretty disappointed to miss the ME this year
