Cliffnotes: Perky world challenge LOL. Im heading to NYC tomorrow morning from LA to play Perky HU for 70 hours of minimum play, 25/50 100k escrow, min 20k buy-in/reloads. He talks a lot of ****/funny tho. Im certain the game will get bigger and he’s laying me odds + bet me/paid me to post this

Im bs’ing w Perky 2 days ago over text when he starts telling me about how bad he’s running to which I respond “you cant run bad for 12 million hands life fish”. This leads to classic male ego **** which leads to Perky telling me he’s gonna offer a world challenge (LOLOLOL). I tell him to get out to LA tonight and we’ll play, he says ill lay you 20k to 10k that I beat you over a weekend of play if you come to NYC now. Long story short we agree to 70 hours of play starting thurs. He proceeds to tell me how he’s letting everyone know that he’s offering a challenge and will play anyone, to which of course I laugh hysterically for 8-15 minutes. He of course is serious and states, “ I let Durrrr know and for him to let anyone know”. I laugh for another 6 minutes and tell Perky, thatd be the best news any poker player has ever heard. That leads to some form of a discussion about posting this on 2+2 to help him spread the word that the challenge has been issued. He and I set a bet about how many people would be interested in playing him HU (w money escrowed before hand) and what would take place in a 2+2 thread if our HU play was posted here + others could play him.

other notes/points/funny
1)I go “can I bring esko, we’ll trade off” he says something like bring him and both of you bitches can play me at once, and go come come, I don’t care. I go “ok, I asked him, he’s in” , Perky snap responds, "fine". LOL, i still havent confirmed w him if he was serious
2) once he's stuck >30k the game will get bigger and I will not be surprised at all if the game ends up becoming 300/600+.
3)to any Perky haters, all his money is escrowed already, was one of my conditions to buying the plane ticket. My other conditions were; I will not bump stakes unless effective stacks are 400bb to the new blinds. And if he slow rolls me once in a pot greater than 40k at any point he forfeits his stack (his 3 minute 300k pot slow rolls are epic and hilarious when its not you, but sends me over the edge when it is me).

Funny story some will enjoy reguarding slowrolls- DOnt know if you were there when Alex checked back the nuts on the river in a 20k pot just so he could slow roll Jer. Was one of the funniest things ever! Best part, Jer had

100/200 NL, commerce reg shows up drunk at like 3am, perky is stuck maybe 150k and uber tilted. Reg buys in for 80K. Perky is down to 15K maybe...doubles thru the reg on a suicide/tilted over shove w like T high and pulls a "I have nothing show ur hand" for 30 seconds maybe....they get it in next hand perky has an airball again and agan 30 second "I missed slow roll"....reg reloads and warns perky not to do that sht again...reg is drunk and NOT HAPPY. Everyone else is laughing hysterically....very next hand they again get it in pre flop...

reg actually stayed pretty calm considering. I mean perky did chip up from 15k to like 120k 3 hand in a row, all slowrolls, so reg was a bit used to it by now.

However, over the next 30 mins perky pulled some more BS, titling the go so hard that he tried to swipe 4k from a pot of mine that he wasnt in (long story) which got us about 4 seconds away from a fight, which got me super tilted. So Perky's slowrolls inadvertantly tilted me. GG

lol last time i remember seeing perky was a pretty epic session with Townsend at 300/600. Perky Flops a set of Jacks they get it in.Townsend has kk turns a k. Perky goes absolutely ape****. Wish i had the chat

onepac, why do you think NYC's poker scene is so much less developed than L.A.? There's plenty of rich people in both cities, but poker is just a much bigger thing in L.A.

i dont know NYC well but i do know the following:
No one works in LA. Like if you meet someone and they say, "ill call u after work" ur like "WTF" you work? So i think contributes to the high number of poker playes. Its pretty rare to meet someone in west hollywood/beverly hills that has a 9-5.

as for NYC there is from what ive heard a Ton of big private games there almost every night. So that seems pretty good. There's also a sht ton of small underground games. And, arent poker rooms illegal in NY? id imagine that contributes.

LA is def insane w the private games. Ive played commerce like 5 times in the last year and pri games 4 days a week. I wont even *** w commerce. No reason to play 7 regs when i can play 3 epic fish, 3 abc's and 2 regs
