Villain is Geenetic a 17/12 3bet 4.7 . He`s very good postflop and puts lots of pressure on his Villains.

Hero (BTN): $2669.00
SB: $2425.00
BB: $5806.00
UTG: $2200.00
CO: $990.00

Pre Flop: ($30.00) Hero is BTN with 5 A
2 folds, Hero raises to $65, SB calls $55, 1 fold

Flop: ($150.00) 3 A 4 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $110.00, SB raises to $320, Hero calls $210

Turn: ($790.00) 6 (2 players)
SB bets $440.00, Hero calls $440

River: ($1670.00) 5 (2 players)
SB bets $1160.00

Flop could be a fold, but i believed that my 5 and GS are probably outs and that i could very well have the best hand. Turn is super standard.
But on the river what are you doing now?

10-21-2008 , 12:32 AM
wow shoving this river is LOL bad
10-21-2008 , 04:51 AM

10-21-2008 , 05:05 AM
check at the flop c/c turn c/c river
10-21-2008 , 05:22 AM
is call really best when there would only be $500 behind?
10-21-2008 , 05:27 AM
shove is easy with 500 left. Villain probably has 5 7ss(and I don't see what is so unbelievable about that at all), or a set that you just runnered. Good job, well played.
10-21-2008 , 05:29 AM
I'm thinking a set here. I don't how you can be in front, with a hand you cant trust. I don't believe that villian would follow through with A7-A8-A9 maybe A-10. Much more likely that he has the straight or set.

The act here comes down to how your experience with him imo.

wtf? So you're putting villain on a straight or a set and you're wanting to shove when you have two pair? Just double checking.

A7 would give him a straight. Also A7-A10 are a very small % of his range depending on how he views recallme and it's very unlikely he'd ever take that line with those hands if he happened to have them. The guy is 17/12 and presuming that's over a decent # of hands that really, really tight.

cant see a fold here

yes. a call has to win like 30% against his bluff+vbrange but a raise has to win 50% against his calling range. big difference. i would guesstimate our hand is good about 30-50% and about 20-40% vs his callingrange. dont think we can get any better hands to fold...
10-21-2008 , 07:21 PM
If he was bluffing here, he wouldnt stop on this river, it would be the perfect river for him to continue. He might even continue value betting worse two pairs. Im paying off here.
10-21-2008 , 08:10 PM
lol i actually misread the board and thought it was 5 to a straight and it would be split if u called.. yeah then a shove is def bad. my bad!
