Re: Help

I would not 3bet the turn. just call and check river.

preflop is realllly questionable esp. if I_Will_Muck has been actively 3betting as that will effect Altrum's preflop opening range significantly.

Re: Help

Muck preflop, don't 3bet the turn, checkfold the river as played. What hand do you think he is turning into a bluff? River is a checkfold as played, not a check call.

Re: Help

For hand history conversion, there's a box above the "Reply to thread" or "Post new thread" line. The box says "The Two Plus Two Hand Converter: Powered by" with a button that says "Click to expand". Hit the button, paste your HH in the box and then click the "Convert Hand History" button below it.

As for the hand,
The flop lead seems strange to me, as I think you'll get raised fairly often on a board this wet, and TPGK is going to be one of the harder hands to play facing a raise.

On the turn, I think it's hard for you to get action from worse once you 3bet.

As for the river, it really looks like you're pot controlling. Villain has less than a pot size bet left, so this sizing doesn't make a lot of sense for a value hand. That said, it's pretty hard for villain to be bluff raising here, so as gross as it is, a fold seems best.

Of course, a lot of this could change depending on history, please post anything you feel is relevant.

Re: Help

Your river line always looks like a bet fold, you should really be bet/calling in spots like that for balancing purposes.

Re: Help

Hey DN!

Preflop I'm giving Altrum some credit here for not allowing me to make money with K9s from the SB by flatting.

Flop I would be checking my whole range to him as I do normally, but I think if leading is something you work into your game then it should be with a balanced range against these guys and K9s here is probably fine.

Turn I would call the raise (reluctantly,) our implied odds are pretty huge, and there is just no other option unless you want to fold. We cannot put in any size valueraise and get called by worse. And I think any concern over protecting your hand is outweighed by how badly the bigbets can potentially go in.

River, checkfold as played?
If you had just called his turn raise, you could probably still check/fold because your range should be protected and include many boats, but who knows Altrum is pretty goofy. So make one of those live guy reads and click one of the left two buttons.

Re: Help

main reason the turn 3b sucks is that you'll likely never have anything other than a made hand here, so you're kinda going face up.

Re: Help

this deep when ur leading flop u should have like the relative nuts or air otherwise u will be put in really ****ty positions when u get raised. Im not sure why u led the turn should just check call maximize vs bluffs/lose less when he has u beat. Dont get river just c/f.

Re: Help

Calling preflop is a mistake since you're not going to be able to play this OOP profitably vs Altrum, not to mention you are probably going to get squeezed here a fair amount by the BB. If you insist on playing the hand you need to 3 bet it. Flop lead seems ok if it's something you do a lot. The turn 3 bet is a massive mistake for reasons already mentioned ITT. River is really tough here, and I really don't know what is best....maybe check/fold? As played close your eyes and click buttons.
