Well, a lot of things can be said about my online persona, being a dick usually is not one of them.

Obv I am super cool IRL.

I gotta be at least a 65/35 fave there, especially with the ~30 y/o women who loved NKOTB.

I am about to kill myself for remembering the discussion around the fact that that was a chestal merkin (or whatever) in that picture. Also, I reiterate (and now agree with thac) that I hope you both lose. Or both go broke off of rake while duking it out or something. Maybe FTP locks your accounts for HU collusion?

yeah, i'm hoping for a double-loss.

ideally one will quit the other while accusing the other of violating the 9 million rules they're sure to come up with - should be fun

They could barely agree on the number of tables and number of hands something tells me they'd never find mutual ground on terms for something so subjective as a beauty contest...

ALTHOUGH. El D is a respected arbiter and Daliman seems very keen (65/35?!?! Wow those are some damn confident numbers if you're serious) so I guess the only thing left is for EC10 to agree without dishing out any impossible restrictions.

OK, my month is pretty much done, let's do this.

I will escrow my $$$ with Citanul April 2, we can start anytime after that.

Going to bed, will hammer out rules between now and start of play

Although I don't have anything personally against Daliman, for some reason it really annoys me that he immediately responds to every post in this thread. I don't know why, it just tilts me.

Also, for some reason everyone seems to think that ec10 is the arrogant one. Well, that might be true when it comes to poker, but for some reason Dali's aura around other subjects (even just the brief stuff I've read, I feel like I've really missed a lot of his funniest work) is insanely annoying.

I also don't really like nits.

edit: HU for looks please too.

Dali, EC:

If you guys are both in Vegas for WSOP, we can probably make the looks bet happen in a way that's fair. I imagine a team of scouts finding a random wide spectrum of women, ranging from young hot LA club chicks to middle-aged midwestern women, to pick the better looking of you. We'd just need you to hang out together for short periods a couple of different times.

or we just make each of them pick couple of their good pictures and then put it on a site like hot or not. then we will just take the avg of their pictures and crown a winner? its possible for this to be rigged so we will let someone be in charge of putting the pictures up and not telling anyone so we wont be able to vote on it. only other people who doesnt no them will vote. i think thats the most convenient, and fast way to get this done.

Can I get odds if I enter the 'better looking 37 year old' bet?
I don't think I have much of a chance due to my baldness situation but you never know.

can someone explain to me how Daliman can beat high stakes, and at the same time be so concerned with something as superficial as making sure he wins a certain amount in a certain month

Uhhh... that's seriously unfathomable to you? If you play for a living and it's the primary/only source of income for you and a family that relies on you, wtf is so hard to understand about wanting to make sure the money is there?

random thought: can they get cardrunners'-like stuff and record an hour each of their HU session?... that could be a lot of fun.

yes it is unfathomable...not talking about dali now, this becomes hypothetical

if a player has a positive expectation...he should just play as much as he can/wants to...hitting a certain goal in a month achieves nothing...if he hits his goal by march 31 and then loses 7 buyins on April 1st then what is the ****in difference...dont tell me that anyone who is multitabling 5K NL HU has any risk of not feeding his kids that month...thats a ****ing joke...what if a player hasnt hit his goal...now he might play worse trying to get there...what if a player has hit his goal...now he might play worse because he is scared not to lose...it is more of a risk for his family if he hurts his expectation by worrying about a goal...its ******ed ******ed and has NOTHING to do with supporting a family

again none of that paragraph was regarding daliman...strictly a hypothetical situation to show why his post about month goals help support a family was stupid

cue RoundersQuote: 'i'm not playing for the thrill of f*cking victory here. i owe rent, alimony, child support. i play for money.'

lots of people here have monthly goals and it is pretty stupid, but it's just a sensible way to divide up the year.
